My guess is training facility in general because Washington finished dead last in the league player survey-- training room and weight room specifically could be two of the areas targeted for construction because both rooms Training room have been cited as "not large enough" for individual work, cold tub space and hot tub space.

I know last summer, they built a 2,000-seat bleacher viewing area on the practice fields to accommodate fans, but they might be doing additional similar work this summer in another part of the Ashburn facility. Perhaps a covered area that is raised to make it easier to see training?

  2. Last season, Commanders held a draft party at National Harbor. How was it at the National Harbor? What did you particularly like about it?

Is anyone planning to attend this season's draft party?

We still need a linebacker and safety in free agency. I would also take another edge (too bad we missed out on Huff) so we can focus on OT in draft (OT not great in free agency).

My observation when I regularly went to games was that the majority of the visiting fans were concentrated on the lower bowl visitors side. My suspicion has always been that a lot of those seats are owned by larger entities (corporate or government) who have employees that come to DC from all over the nation. Back in the day, when the stadium opened and the Skins weren't far removed from a Super Bowl title, those seats would be filled by Skins fans anyway. But as the interest in the team locally has waned, safe to say a lot of employees that get their chance to see their team from wherever they are are able to take the opportunity.

Thanks for sharing that. With the team underperforming, and transplants to the DMV not uncommon, that helps me understand the challenge more. It could be awhile until the home stadium will be as opposing as RFK was.

Just for ****s & grins, I looked.   There are no seats available in my section....or most of the 200's on the Skins side, except in the end-zone corner in 238

@Skinsfan1311 Do most season ticket holders just attend a couple of games a season and sell tickets to the 6 to 7 remaining home games to recoup the cost of their season tickets? Would like people's perspectives regarding this question as I'm just trying to understand a seeming "paradox" of a sold out lower bowl comprised mostly of season ticket holders and the fact that more often than not, it looks as if the visiting team is the home team in Greater Landover.

    No.

We love our seats and sit with another couple who we're good friends with.  The only way we would move is if they could move with us, (which we did once), and similar seats, (last row, 200's, undercover on the Skins side), closer to the 50.     They do have a pair on the aisle, next to our friend that I would consider, because we would still be sitting next to them, but on the aisle.

@Skinsfan1311 I thought "back row" 200 seats can have seats with poor views (either columns that might block part of the field or overhang that prevents seeing ball above a certain height or poor incline from row to row makes it more likely that people in front of you could block part of the view for the people behind them). Is any of that true, and if so, how do you know which seats are "fine" and which seats "should be avoided"?

I had the 11am slot. It was pretty crowded. They held back a ton of seats. I was in section 336 undercover and on the isle. I wanted to switch to 307 both under cover and on the isle. Went right outside to that section. There were a handful of seats in the lower rows but nothing I wanted. I was like oh well. And headed for the free snacks. I ran into my Rep, and she was like you find what you’re looking for. I said nope. She pulled up her computer. And the whole section was pretty much available. Except for the aisle seats except for row 17. So, I switched to Section 307 row 17 seats 1,2.

kinda pissed that they held back seats. If I had not asked I would not have switched seats.

@just654 When you said "They held back a ton of seats" why did they do that? Are they trying to get people to move to certain areas? How did you learn what seats were being held back?

Good riddance to FedEx. I hope they lost their ass on the deal. I’ll never forgive the company for igniting the name change fiasco.

That they did (unfortunately), but it also led to Snyder's departure (fortunately).

  8. I keep hearing three sites cited, one each in DC, Maryland and Virginia; are those three generally "old RFK," "where FedEx field is currently" and in Loudoun Quarries respectively? Also, might current HQs and training center be moved from Ashburn; if so where is it potentially moving to?

Thanks for helping clarify this status.

  9. 9).  Pickett - I believe Steelers will find a QB that will challenge Pickett for the starting job; it's possible Giants will also bring in a QB.

Mayfield is more erratic so you don't know what you will face. Sometimes Mayfield is inconsistent and playing poorly and sometimes he does a very good job of running the offense.

  10. @Lombardi's_kid_brother (On the other side of 495, a long time ago, I used to go to the Cap Centre.)

Thanks for pointing out the Wendy's (1.3 miles away) and 7-11 (1.5 miles away). Didn't see them originally on the map. There's a Sardi's Chicken a little further away (1.9 miles).

Doesn't seem like there's much around FedEx Field, so I presume people's recommendations will either be specific to pregame activities related to tailgating or within the stadium itself. I find people like to sit in different parts of the stadium for different reasons, and so I just like to hear where dedicated fans like to sit and why.

  11. @psu2008 @Hoover-ball @just654 Please share how the relocation event goes in 8/9 days; what you like and don't like about the event. Also, how are the team's representatives now, 7 months under Harris, compared to life while Snyder was the principal owner. Has much changed or is it more or less the same service? What has improved and what has stayed the same?

  12. - To be competitive down in, down out

    - Coaches prepare the team for each game

    - The players are explosive and finishers; they play with passion, energy, physicality, toughness and high IQ

And ultimately (once Peters has been able to turn over roster at least once) win enough to consistently compete for NFC Championships and Super Bowls
