If we get Hamilton. I’ll be the first to say I hate the pick.

No we don’t. Get a receiver!!!! This is an offensive league now. Hamilton is too slow anyway.

We all think highly of Terry because we know what his potential is with a good qb in a good scheme, but as of now he’s not sniffing top 10 rankings with anyone outside of this fanbase.
That’s not true. I’ve heard analysts outside of this fan base say he is. -
Well he’ll miss the pro bowl again this year. Just didn’t have the numbers. Maybe next year if he balls out.

I may not comment in these threads a lot. But I read KDawg post after every game for evaluation on players I didn’t watch.

I think Heinicke proved we have a long way to go to get a franchise level long term QB answer today. The issue is, though, our draft position is prohibitive to QB and favorable to forcing a first rounder that shouldn’t be the guy.
This is how we wound up with Haskins.
I think there is a QB1 in this draft. There always is, and they don’t always go early. We just have to make a smart pick. But it’s easier said than done. -
Terry is too humble . He needs to demand the ball more. His lack of urgency here will cost him a pro bowl. Still feel lucky to have him here.

The Scherff stat isn't that surprising when you think about it. He is a dominant player and this team doesn't really have any other dominant players(Young was kinda close to it last year at times). Allen this year has been, but that's it. When you don't have that much talent, and you take away one of the few really great players you have, your win % should plummet.
Scherff is outstanding. The only Gs that are better are Zack Martin and Quintin Nelson and the gap isn't that wide. But he's gonna be over 30 and have an injury history. Let him walk.
I think you undersell some of our players. Some of them are just underutilized. Scherff has moments where he looks far less than dominant. I think we have someone more than serviceable to replace him. You can’t say that at some of our other positions. -

The one major thing missing from this offense is big explosive downfield plays. I think it is part of the reason the offense seems to fade as the game goes on. It seems like the last few weeks they come out of the gate dominating TOP and yards (on both sides of the ball) but they aren't scoring enough points on those drives and it is leaving the game close. Also when the opposing defense makes adjustments, it seems like there are no counter-adjustments.
I think part of it is Heinicke choosing not to throw downfield and he NEEDS to. You could get a PI or a completion. Can’t just neglect that part of the offense. It was working somewhat earlier in the year. -

Here come the Ron Burgundy jokes.
Im going to reserve judgement until I see the uniforms again. If we’re winless in these uniforms it’s time to turn that around tonight. -

The pro bowl?...lol haaaa hahahaha...that's a popularity contest...Washington hasn't been popular scince..well scince social media started..early 90s about right?
Id really like to see Terry in a pro bowl this year. He puts up another few big games he should be in. -

He's been above-average.
91.4 rating
2390 yards
66% completion rate and 7.3 yds/att
15 TD/9 INT
276 rushing yards
And of course the intangibles we've all seen. That's a huge asset. Plus, bone-headed plays are starting to be less frequent.
Highest possible QBR is 158.3. You’d be surprised to see how many QB’s are over 100. -
I’m pleased with what he’s done, keep it up.

I hear ya....but this league is so hard that some of the best prospects take years to learn the league or in most cases never do. Taylor has shown that he can not only compete but can win against the biggest name QB's in the sport. That is not easy to find. I'm cool with drafting a QB with all the bells and whistles but if we don't I'm good with that too. Taylor offers more than many QB's do; he's smart, is very mobile and can read defenses....not to mention he's competitive as hell. He checks off a lot of boxes even if he's not perfect.
I live outside of Philly and I find myself comparing TH to Jaylen Hurts (who many in Philly think is not gonna be the answer cause he's not accurate as a passer). All I see is both of them balling out and making plays....meanwhile, kids like Wilson (Jets), Fields (Bears) and countless others either are struggling terribly or will never figure it out. Look at Darnold, Rosen, and several other high draft picks and how poorly they're doing in the league.
I get wanting more but what we have is pretty good....I'm not gonna take TH for granted. We can win with Taylor if everyone does their job. Hell, if Gibson doesn't fumble in the redzone it could've been even easier today.
He’s had a couple good games. But I haven’t forgotten the ones where he struggled mightily. It’s not just wanting more, it’s needing more. And if we want to compete with the best the league has to offer we need more. We lose just one more game and I’m not sure we’re having this discussion.

Your avatar is Terry Mac.....you should call him and ask him what he thinks of TH?
Taylor is a gamer. I like him. But I’m still drafting a QB. There are areas where he’s limited.- 1

Not to be a party pooper, and I love Terry, but part of this has to be the weapons around him. Take Terry away and put offense stagnates and, who else is going to beat you? If we had a better option opposite Terry, teams would play him more honestly.
He’d still be getting doubled, but it’s not easy to say how much.
On 11/19/2021 at 6:01 PM, method man said:Looking at receivers around the league, I think Terry is unfortunately on the outside looking in for the Pro Bowl if he doesn't have a bigger 2nd half - Kupp, Jefferson, Deebo, Adams, Jefferson and Lamb are in over him. Godwin, Evans, Moore, DeVonta and others are in the running too
Most of those guys have better QB’s and compliments around them. He plays just as hard as any of them and deserves to go if he has even comparable stats. -

Curious who the four above him are. I'd guess Tyreke Hill for sure. Probably Davante Adams.
Davante Adams was one. -
Just heard a stat on B Mitch and Finlay. Terry McLaurin is the fifth most double teamed wide receiver in the league.

That’s why I laugh at people saying we don’t have weapons or we’re not talented. They don’t know what they’re talking about. We just have to use our talent correctly. Put them in a position to do what they do best.

Clutch catch by Terry on that third down. Not like I doubted him though.
