  1. With the added bonus that they don't have to delve into, or really even know, the details of the law. Not that they would delve into it, but it's a lot harder to avoid getting into the nitty gritty with voters when the Supreme Court does something with a bit of nuance like "close exchanges in 34 states," leaving 16 states with them and some other states swiftly establishing them thereafter. If 16M people lost healthcare tomorrow, and maybe 4 or 5 million got it back because of newly created state exchanges between now and 2016, people might throw more complex questions about specifics of new exchanges, or how to deal with the 10M gap the SCOTUS ruling made. With this ruling, the law can remain this evil, monolithic, thing, and they can play off that (even if there are positive results).
  2. Well, healthcare is complicated. Always has been, likely will be until we move to a completely different system. Probably would need single payer for that, frankly. As for "executive summaries" that's sort of what the Chevron doctrine, which was a part of this decision, does. Where there are ambiguities, you leave it to the agency, generally. Of course, Congress likes to hold the reins, so of course they couldn't make it easy and just let some agency do it, they needed to specify everything. But that's not unreasonable, considering healthcare is very complicated. The bill sought to have exchanges, subsidies, mandates, etc. etc., not something they could leave to the agencies, at least not without a lot of people complaining about it.
  3. Trailer didn't show much, but definitely set things up. I'm excited. We can at least totally toss the theory that Batman is intervening to stop Superman after Metropolis' destruction; you don't build a big statue of a guy the government is out to contain. Makes me wonder why Batman is stepping in.
  4. I could understand someone wanting really cool uniforms if we were losing, saying something like "if we're gonna lose, we might as well look cool," but we're winning now so yeah, who cares. I personally like the uniforms the way they are, exemplified by the gifs on this page. I feel like they just work. And you're right, uniforms are like...10th on the list of things I pay attention to during the game.
  5. That is an amazing commercial. For those with a sense of humor, Agent Smith is a great spokesperson. Do they not have clip on mics in space? Seemed kind of awkward trying to corral that mic while needing both hands.
  6. Someone PLEASE tell me who Gary Steed and Suli7 are, and what their drafts were! I mean, nobody was even in the top 100 with the Redskins for the longest time, and then these guys suddenly roll up and crack 5.5K, and take #2 and #3 overall! Like what possible combo of players could they have drafted? My best draft ever, which was like 15 players, all A rank, was just barely over 4400.
  7. That Gary Steed guy is impressive at this game. That guy cracked 5K with the Skins and got us a top 20 score, all without a 1st rounder. That's pretty darn impressive. The highest I've been able to get the Skins, with A's and a couple A-'s all the way down 10-12 picks was 4400.
  8. Finally cracked the 4K line. Took a fair amount of wheeling and dealing, and making picks the Skins probably wouldn't at times, but I made it. Now to try and crack top 10 for Skins. Your score is: 4410 (Drafting Ability: A, Player Quality A, Future Draft Picks: N/A) Your Picks: Round 2 Pick 19: Matt Elam, SS, Florida (A) Round 3 Pick 31 (S.F.): Bacarri Rambo, FS, Georgia (A) - If this happened I would...do something silly. Elam and Rambo basically are our SS/FS combo for the next decade. Round 4 Pick 11 (CAR): Robert Alford, CB, Southeastern Louisiana (A) Round 4 Pick 22: Da'Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech ( Round 4 Pick 26 (SEA): Zaviar Gooden, OLB, Missouri (B+) Round 5 Pick 21: Kenjon Barner, RB, Oregon ( Round 5 Pick 25 (SEA): Xavier Nixon, OT, Florida (A) Round 5 Pick 29: Kwame Geathers, DT, Georgia (A) Round 6 Pick 14 (CAR): Tyler Bray, QB, Tennessee (A) - thought, hey why the heck not? Round 6 Pick 23: Khaled Holmes, C, Southern California (A) Round 7 Pick 22: Ace Sanders, WR, South Carolina (A)
  9. Is it just me, or does the system seem to hate WRs? Like, in the 2nd round, Terrance Williams, Marcus Wheaton, Quinton Patton, etc., are all Bs or worse. Swope in the late 3rd should be good value, and yet that got me a C+ I think, and Bailey in the 4th is a really good pick at that point, and yet he similarly gets like a B-. And I almost never see WRs among the best player available. Heck, getting into the 5th and 6th rounds I start seeing punters but I almost never see WRs.
  10. I just did a draft where I traded down to try and snag a few thirds, ended up with 3 in quick succession. Darius Slay, Jamar Taylor, Logan Ryan, and Leon McFadden were all there. I took Taylor with the 1st 3rd rounder, and then cried, because Slay is so clearly BPA at that point, but so utterly unnecessary. Seriously, I quit and restarted. I couldn't handle all that corner talent sitting there and me not taking it.
  11. Your score is: 3323 (Drafting Ability: B, Player Quality A-, Future Draft Picks: N/A) Your Picks: Round 2 Pick 19: Matt Elam, SS, Florida (A) Round 3 Pick 31 (S.F.): Ryan Swope, WR, Texas A&M (C+) Round 4 Pick 23 (MINN): T.J. McDonald, FS, Southern California (C+) Round 4 Pick 31 (S.F.): David Bakhtiari, OT, Colorado (A) Round 5 Pick 21: Kwame Geathers, DT, Georgia (A) Round 5 Pick 29: Gavin Escobar, TE, San Diego State (A) Round 5 Pick 31 (S.F.): Rod Sweeting, CB, Georgia Tech (C+) Round 6 Pick 21 (MINN): Kerwynn Williams, RB, Utah State (B+) Round 6 Pick 23: Corey Fuller, WR, Virginia Tech ( Round 7 Pick 22: Bruce Taylor, ILB, Virginia Tech (A) I really like how that round went. Elam in the 2nd, McDonald in the 4th, Geathers and Escobar in the 5th. After getting Bakhtiari in the 4th and Williams in the 6th I felt pretty darn good. And I don't care what anyone says, Swope in the 3rd is good freakin' value. Overall, definitely fun, though it seems a little trade-down happy, which obviously can lead to hilarious scenarios like almost 30 picks like 2STaylor1 had. I just put a cap, ten picks max, since I think that's realistic if we wanted to trade down.
