I cannot believe some people don’t want to roll with Howell. This was his first game, where he was completely hamstrung by the oc, and against a very good defense. And he showed such promise that I woke up full of hope. If you run on first and second down almost every single series, you are setting up your qb for failure. But he didn’t fail. He took chances, he had leadership and moxie. And most of all he didn’t let the moment be too big for him. He shook off the int and kept ballin. I’m sorry, maybe I got rose tinted glasses on, but this kid is the truth and I am 100% behind keeping him. Qbs in the draft this year suck anyway. Keep Howell, and if he ends up sucking then tank it for Williams the year after. But I have a feeling Howell is the truth

I think he looked so good it’s a shame we had such an ass hat at oc to try and downplay how good he truly was. When you only get 19 chances to throw, and most of them were on a 3rd and long, after your oc decided to call two runs in a row, and you still looked that impressive, then you might just be “the guy.” if we f this up, I swear to God I’m going to stop watching football altogether because it’s a sign the big man upstairs don’t want me watching it. See the issue I have is our coaches obviously can’t evaluate crap. So they’ll put another Fitzpatrick/smith/wentz in and say the veteran “won” the competition, but jus cause someone looks good in practice don’t mean crap. Wentz probably looks great in practice. Again, I don’t think TH is the answer at qb. But it’s things like this that would make me give him a contract as the backup for a long time

I don’t know if this should be posted here but I’m super curious about something, for the lot of you who were not big fans of Kirk, and wanted to release him/not pay him/not sign him, do you wish we still had him? Would he be leading us to the playoffs yearly?

I have always defended Rivera. I think he’s actually a great head coach. I think Scott turner is AWFUL, and only in the league cause his daddy kissed the right booty’s. But Rivera was the one bright spot in a coaching room/front office of complete dysfunction. He always handled the bs around snyder with class and gave us something to at least not be totally embarrassed about during times where we were the joke of the league. With that being said, I cannot for the life of me figure out why he would start wentz today over TH. I’m not saying TH is good, but he’s better than wentz and the guys believe in him. Rivera knows this. I can’t help but think this is a direct order from Snyder. whatever, not that it matters anyway. Until our owner is gone, nothing will change. He has been the common denominator the entire time. With all that being said, if Ron doesn’t start Howell Sunday, then I question his motives. I have been on the Howell train since day 1. I watched him a little, and I felt like he’s the one shot we had this year at a real qb. If he sucks, cool, let’s try again. But if he looks good man…. At least we have hope heading into the off-season then, right ?

Haslett was worse. but Turner is a close second. Turner shouldn’t be in the nfl. He’s only here cause of his daddy. He’s trash.

First game I’ve been to since 2013. This team seemed absolutely dead from the start. I mean absolutely no energy, no moxie, no swag, nothing. No one was getting vocal, no pumping up, nadda. They won’t play for wentz. Heinicke has no talent, but at least he has heart. Both suck though, Ron shoulda just let Howell play. I’m so tired of not having a freaking QB. It’s so ridiculous. I can’t help but repeat the mistake of letting Kirk go years back. I’m more astounded by so many of you who wanted Wentz to start, just as I was shocked by some of you who didn’t want Cousins years ago. Y’all make no sense to me. I like Ron as a coach, I really do. But Scott Turner is an absolute joke, he’s only in the league cause of his daddy. I pray to God Snyder sells this team ASAP. We will never be anything decent until he is gone. Heck I wouldn’t doubt it if he was the one who made Ron start Wentz.

I will be the first to admit I have to eat crow in this guy. He is freaking phenomenal. I am so happy we got him. Give me dotson over any of the other wrs in the draft. If we get a qb, he’s going to be unreal

Heinicke is awesome when it comes to heart and leadership. But he’s trash when it comes to talent. Keep him as a backup but that’s it.
