Exactly, my 20yr old Daughter struggles w/anxiety in certain situations so it’s real… always over thinks things but the 1 thing my Wife and I always told her and tell her, don’t just say yes to something unless you follow through with it… cause once you say yes or agree to something then back out that is where the uncomfortable starts… so if you know you might not do something or enjoy doing something or going somewhere then just say no…
Good lesson for all people. There are legitimate reasons to back out. Life does happen. But there is a way to inform others of backing out that is better.

Yeah.. in all seriousness he just didn’t wake up today and think.. nah I’m staying Pat here w/the Lions… he knew even before he interviewed w/any of the teams looking for a HC (at least he had to have had a inclination to such) so I agree a bad look for him and very unprofessional to wait till the day of the 2nd interview… should have had the decency to let them have known yesterday… or at worse last night
Or even in person today. Shake their hands, express thanks for the opportunity and politely decline the interview.

Making an asshole move does not equal being a beta.
Just a reminder, this is the definition of the slang usage of the term beta:
“Beta is a slang insult for or describing a man who is seen as passive, subservient, weak, and effeminate.”
Calling the guy effeminate because he chose a good situation over our raging **** pile is a strange tactic.
Subservient fits though. I agree with the sentiment however. It is a very derogatory term. I think he is more lacking self confidence and fire.

Being aggressive right now by Peters, Harris and our Leadership team is a must IF they really want MacDonald and that's the case with him or any candidate. This is really starting to look silly on us. LOL and Wow!
I dont think so. Be agressive. Yes. But we dont look silly for Johnson being unproffesional and stringing along teams.
2 minutes ago, KDawg said:It takes time to plan and build them. And our HC may not be here in 2-3 years when they’re up and running if they **** up.
”if you build it, they will come.”
Build it. Bet things change quick.
More to be thankful to Snyder for. So glad he neglected the franchise for so long.
All good points.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Macdonald has an offer from both Sea and Was and he’s going to sleep on it tonight.
Would shock noone really.

I am concerned about Harris operating capital after the sale. The new stadium will 1000% want to be bought by tax payers and new facilities are not cheap on ashburn or wherever.
Oh sure. But that is what banks are for.

I wonder if well make someone an offer tonight.
I would guess either already did or they are sitting in a room together deciding who to offer it to.

Yeah, that beta (🙂) probably took one close look at our OL and ran back to Campbell and the best OL in the league.Sounds like a lack of confidence in himself. And a lack of passion to show how good he is.

The facilities are still dog ****. There is going to be a really high % of roster turnover.
There are advantages… high pick, good cap, good GM, caring ownership. But the facilities are still a steaming pile of fecal matter and that stuff matters. Big time.
Ehhh. Harris can promise better facilities and provide them in short order. That wouldnt concern most candidates I would think.

It won’t be. But we’re at the part of the cycle where as a fanbase we are coping and saying we never wanted Johnson and he’s a stupid poo poo face and Dan Quinn is a true leader and exactly what we wanted all along.
Just a coping mechanism. Everyone will turn on him by week 3 unless we’re really good.
I turned on Quinn already.

According to folks here, they must have.

Josh Harris: "What do you think Magic?"
Magic Johnson: "I'd get Belicheck on the phone and talk to him."
Harris: "Bob, are any of the candidates left better than Belicheck?"
Myers: "That's hard to answer....no, no one can match what he's done in this league."
Harris: " How is Andy Reid still winning, if we have the QB can BB still win like Reid is doing in KC?"
Myers: " I would think he could."
Harris: "Can we find a QB to win with if we hire BB?"
Myers: "That would be my job and I believe I could find a QB."
Harris: " Call Belicheck, I wanna talk to him."

No, but there’s a decent chance that Macdonald lands in Seattle.
Ok. I am not giving up hope until I have to. Then we can start the doom and gloom

Everyone talking about Quinn, BB, and Vrabel. Did I miss where MacD and Weaver backed out or got hired elsewhere?

If they do in fact go in this direction, I don’t know how you could justify hiring Quinn with Vrabel & BB available. It smacks of wanting someone to go along with the program, as opposed to hiring the best guy.
None of those 3 are great hires. All are ok hires. None are the "best"

I dont see Weaver or MacD. Good choices still available. Lets not pretend the roof has completely collapsed on top of us yet.

Yes, but this is errr... symbolic.
So we can riot no matter what right? Just because. It would be helping the team....

If its Dan Quinn or BB I say we riot and tear the facilities down.
Dont they kinda need torn down anyways?

So this might sound like a stupid question but what's the big knock on Quinn?? Honest question here. I'm just going with the popular opinion on the guy, but he built a great defense in Seattle, took the Falcons to the Super bowl (yes I know it was the ultimate choke job) and turned around that atrocious defense in Dallas. I see tweet after tweet about him being one of the most respected dudes in the league, but it seems like nobody wants anything to do with him. Yet people fall head over heals for Vrabel, which I don't think any of his teams were even close to being contenders, good teams, but nothing elite. And before anyone says it, I am not advocating for Dan Quinn as our HC.
He is simply the safe hiring. His ceiling is known and not as high as the potential of some of the other candidates.

These Ben Johnson reports coming out now remind me of the reports over a few years of Eric Bienemy. Look where that got him... couldnt interview well. Will likely never be a HC.

Johnson's agent is probably fuming at Johnson right now.
I would drop him as a client after this.
