I think SF and Detroit is going to be a Shoot Out that will come right down to the end. I think KC is going to get a black eye from the Ravens though. I dont think KC can stop the Raven offense and I think Mahomes is going to get knocked around just enough to frustrate him and throw him off his game. Ravens win big.

    Not so far....

This will be Quinn's 3rd interview (1 virtual, 1 in-person (with Adam Peters, Myers and Spielman) and 1 in person early next week with the A-team (Peters, Myers, Spielman, Harris, Magic and other owners).

NO OTHER CANDIDATE HAS HAD, OR IS CURRENTLY SCHEDULED TO HAVE, MORE THAN 2 INTERVIEWS (including our presumed first choice, Johnson).

I would take that as evidence that at least some members of the brain trust have serious interest in Quinn.

See a few pages back, Quinn was supposed to meet in person earlier this week but did not. Next week will only be his 2nd interview. 1st in person.

Oh it’s not me, I was just saying what he keeps saying. I don’t care one way or the other.

Sorry. Didnt mean you specifically. I keep seeing similar takes on this board and just cant understand how people actually think and believe these things.

I just watched Baker Mayfield play damn good on the road against the Lions after roasting the Eagles in the playoffs the week before. The Cardinals are rolling with Kyler Murray next season and with the right system he will perform. Stop hating!

    Ok.....

I can only imagine how much you would have vomited if they had selected guys like Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Love, Goff, etc., with their middling college success against mediocre competition.

Obviously, they’d be much better off scouting the Heisman ceremony and the pass efficiency rating leaderboards for prospects, right?

The point is not to figure out who played the best last season. It’s to figure out who will play the best 5 seasons from now. Sometimes those two things overlap…but very frequently, they don’t.

Most often they dont. Very few hesiman winners have been succesful pros.

Maye is all hype. Daniels and Williams are both Heisman winners while Maye has won what? Competing in the ACC and losing against the likes of UVA. Folks are posting cut ups of him scrambling against Pitt and NC State. It’s laughable! Meanwhile you got Daniels with off the charts numbers competing in the SEC. The best conference in college football where you are sure to get the closest looks to pro style defenses and speed. What are we talking about here!

I’d throw up if we decide to draft Maye. No where close to the pedigree of a Williams or Daniels. Not even close!

You might want to have your barf bag close at hand on draft night.... 😄😄😄

My bet is on Peter's drafting an OT with the #2 pick and taking a chance with Howell learning under an OC with a more balanced attack and a better OL. It's not the popular (at least not popular with E.S.), but it is the BEST option: taking a Tackle who will be able to be plugged in for 10-12 years and be an almost certain All-Pro.

There is enough meat left on the Howell bone (giggitty) to warrant giving Howell another look.  The kid almost threw for 4k... and showed long flashes of brilliance. Don't forget there was Pro Bowl talk surrounding him before the prolonged TEAM slide.

There isn't a person here who can make a case that our OL can afford to pass on either of Fashanu or Alt. We know what Howell can do behind a bad line.  What can he do with a more balanced scheme and a better line?  We need to know before we let him go.

I sure am glad you arent in charge.

After watching Lamar take over the game yesterday in the 2nd half, I'm really hoping that we draft jayden daniels to be our qb.

Having that speed at the qb position is a cheat code. Draft jayden daniels and then find a way to get the guy from liberty back him up. I think his name was Malik.

That way we can build an offense to jaydens strength and have a backup that can come in for any reason and not have to drastically change the offense.

Is this for real? Actual living breathing individuals think these things? Seek help please!!!!!!!

    So no genuine rebuttal? Cool.

Also RG3 had an ACL tear in college. He came into the league with an injury history.

As far as layering or throws over the middle two here and also plays out of structure:

As far as his reads go, I think he can be more patient with them for sure. Its the positive/negative of a dual threat QB - if the pass is 8 yards but he thinks he can run for 15 or 20 do you still want him to pass or make a play?

I agree he doesn't have a cannon for an arm like Mahomes or Allen but his arm is perfectly fine for the NFL (Brady and Manning were said to have "weak" arms and did just fine lol). How you feel about that will depend on how much you value arm strength

Arm strength is what it is. Plenty have worked with "weak" arms. The body frame is simply not going to hold up. I would never waste a draft pick on someone who is electric but unplayable after a few hits. That mistake was made with RG3. Dont repeat the past because you like watching the "fun" guy.

Is there a point? Is Joe Burrow less of a QB because he had Chase and Justin Jefferson in college? Is Stroud because he threw to MHJ in college?

The point is Nabers and Thomas were not lighting it up and WERE NOT top 10 picks until Daniels got to LSU. They all grew and got better together. For some reason people act like thats some impossible, foreign concept.

Daniels will last 3 years in the NFL before following RG3 to the studio. He is not worth a 3rd round pick let alone a first or especially top 5 pick.

He does not struggle attacking or throwing to the middle. What is this based on? Certainly not the actual tape or any numbers?

Also not the "stacked team" thing again lol. Someone tell me what Nabers and Thomas's numbers were before Daniels got to LSU (I'll give a hint, neither even had 450 yards and both had less than 5 TDs)....

Please name one reciever that has played with Maye that has been/will be drafted top 10....

Hmmm.... he was a scout with the Jets. A team that hasnt drafted good qb in 40 years....think I will disregard anything he has to say.
