I agree with you. Ultimately (ultimately); the run can only be sustainable when we can play effective pass pro. Turner has not shown the ability to scheme or call a pass pro set for a game out side of the 2 minutes offense and I can't/won't blame TH4 or CW. Any base offensive coordinator should construct balance schemes design for the personal on hand. The Turner/Ron offense has simply missed the mark here. I also hope they let Howell air things out. Frankly, I don't want B-Rob to suite up. 👀

But we do agree that Dan has been bad; even when he spent more money than any other team in the NFL. Gibbs had total control and so did Ron. Nothing is inevitable when you have control and cap space. I'm looking forward to Dan selling the team, but I will leave you with this: The Glazer's were unanimously considered the worst owners in NFL history; partly because they were very tight and spent the least amount of money on player personnel, staff, and infrastructure in Tampa Bay. Somehow they gave Tony Dungy a chance. Tony built one of the best defensive teams in NFL history, promptly got fired and John Gruden took 'that' team to the NFL Super Bowl the very next year with Brad Johnson at QB. In short, let's agree that Ron had at least a chance to be good from a win/lost perspective.

Not much to disagree here. However my contention was with the statement that the coaching staff was "bound to fail regardless" Ron held all the keys and made the decisions. He hired the coaches, pick the players and coach the Sundays. Dan isn't a demi god. He's simply an egomaniacal very bad owner that has been pretty hands off under Ron's tenure. Ron owns this teams record and active performance.

Dan has the ownership and he has and can "F" things up. But you are giving him to much power. Ron has to own the(this) mediocracy under his tenure.

I don't think he gave up. He absolutely appears to telegraph his throw while simultaneously having zero ability to progress through reads fast enough to find the open receiver. He simply may be broken as baseline QB when placed behind an average or worse offensive line. I wish him the best in all his future endeavors..just hope he's not a Commander next year.
