I would have loved it if the two blind judges had flipped one more round and they robbed GSP, just to see the Canadians riot and burn the arena to the ground while Dana White escaped in a helicopter.
So yeah, unless something shocking happens, going to be another win for Captain Unanimous Decision.
GSP is a great fighter but his fights are boring in general to watch. (There are a couple exceptions)
Shields at some point has to take a risk and try and shoot in and take him down. This 1-2 tie-ups a round that GSP easily breaks out of isn't going to do it.
Yeah, Shields on his feet looks like a kid whose never really been in a fight before and he's kind of afraid. He really really has to get this on the ground to have any shot.
Well, I mean since it's outside of the skull and not inside it's not a huge threat to put pressure on his brain right? I guess I can see why they let it go.
Very good fight.
The problem with that weight division are the two guys above Berto right now, Ortiz wouldn't have much of a chance against....seeing as it's the two best pound-for-pound fighters in the world.
I was wondering the same thing, he may sit this one out. I mean he either has to back the guy that's been with his camp longer or the guy who is going to win the fight and dominate the division for years most likely.
Yeah, that was definitely two people that personify the styles they represent. I'm looking forward to seeing an immediate rematch, though I don't know what it would mean for Machida if he were to lose three fights in a row at this point in his career.
Someone has a crush!
Seriously though, you could see "I'm gonna slam him!" going through Rampage's mind and I was wondering if Machida would let it go before he got slammed, he was pretty quick with that.
Yup, grats Rampage.
I'm not surprised on the split decision, I gave the first two to Jackson, but I knew there was going to be one judge that gave the 2nd round to Machida and obviously all had to give him the third.
