That's great and all. But Allen had a chance to put a stamp on his status by beating the Chiefs in the divisional game last year. He wasn't clutch. If a QB can't take your team to the big dance then all you are left with just empty hopes years after years. I do feel sorry for the Bills fans from yesteryears. They went to 4 SBs back-to-back and lost all of them. (But not sorry for beating them in 1992 though ). I am pretty sure those fans are getting up in age now and want a QB who can bring home the Lombardi. I don't see Allen being that QB though. I might be in the minority here but that is how I feel.

Agree. He has the tools but to be elite you have to have elite processing as well. @Warhead36 The way I look at elite is if the QB is able to find a way to win games after being down. The mental toughness. Calm and collective and making great decisions on the clutch - that is bigger part of the being elite. Having a short term memory after in INT. Making something out of nothing and not forcing and knowing when to just throw away. Being a surgeon and dissecting defenses, even if it is only 5-8 yards at a time (Brady did that a lot). That is just top of my head. I am sure others might have a different set of things they like the QB should be able to do.

To me Burrow has been better of the 3. At least he took his team to the SB his second year there and almost won. I give him the edge there. If you look at Allen's first few years with the Bills he was meh. To me top 10 though. He is a good QB but not at the great level. He had a chance to be even great this past year but fell flat on his face when it mattered the most. That to me is not elite. In your opinion who looks better coming out of college. Allen or Maye?

It has been Maye since last year as the #2 guy. The other QBs are trying to climb up to the ladder to the #2 spot. They are not going to get there on their own with the draft just around the corner. The only way they will if AP and the coaches want to run a certain type of offense. Maye may not fit that role and one of other QB does and will be ideal/great for the type of offense they want install.

So much for if they win tonight then have an 80% chance of going to the playoffs?

Speaking of eggplants... my wife makes batter out of chickpeas flour with some spices and stuff and then dips the slices in them and then deep fried. I am not big on eggplants but I can eat them like this though.

The bottom line is that the only thing that really matters (to me at least) is if the QB can lead 10 other players and can make plays. Some can be eloquent talkers but lack in the play area and some are not but at least can make plays that helps win games. I know it is a cliche but leaders are made and not born.

I am hoping they take Maye knowing they have the coaches to correct his footwork and stuff before the season starts. If he is a fast learner that would be ideal. But, if they feel it can't be done and can't wait a year then they will go Daniels even though there is a concern about his frame and inconsistent accuracy to the short and intermediate areas, especially if not throwing on time. The fans will want the #2 QB to be the starting QB.
