  1. pretty good card tonight, EliteXC makes history next week.
  2. i guess why i don't understand it is because he's controlled some pretty good BJJ guys before in Nick Diaz & Hermes Franca. Granted neither is on BJ's level (although Nick is close), but i thought he would at least try. i feel sorry for the winner of Roger Huerta vs. "I Finish Fights". neither one has anything that should affect BJ.
  3. i still don't understand why Sherk didn't force BJ to spend some energy defending takedowns. even if he never got Penn to the ground, it takes alot of energy to defend, especially from someone as strong as Sherk. His gameplan was ass-backwards.
  4. Machida & Anderson train together so i doubt they would fight each other. i don't know about 7/10, but i would give BJ Penn a great chance in the rematch. it would all come down to BJ's conditioning (shocker ). in the first fight, GSP was able to get him down because he leaned a tired Penn against the cage. BJ clearly won the stand up battle between the two. BJ is really the only person i've seen make GSP work for a takedown. i would probably lean more towards Penn if they were to rematch, because i believe he would come in much better conditioning.
  5. 3/6, sadly that's one of my better peformances
  6. y the hate for Jardine? he's a pretty good fighter, he just has a glass chin. everybody's got at least one weakness
  7. Soko's only 24, they can't take their time and build him up. especially since their are alot of guys in front of him. i like the Shogun matchup. LHW division needs a tourney. this division has 7-10 who have a legitimate chance to hold the title. not to mention up and comers like Soko & Reljic.
  8. damn, Sokodjou called out Shogun. wouldn't be a bad fight
  9. they're showing all the exciting preliminary fights. glad to see the Sokodjou fight
  10. that can't be medically safe, BJ goin mess around and catch something
  11. hot damn, that was a sick choke Yoshida put on Koppenhaver
  12. that fight is a couple of title defenses away. LW division is stacked. BJ will have to face the winner of Florian/Huerta before Dana even considers letting him move up
  13. even if Sherk didn't get the takedown, BJ still would've had to expend energy to fight it.
  14. Sherk looked like he hurt his hand somewhere in the 2nd. but he only attempted 2 takedowns in 3 rounds. his gameplan sucked
  15. sherk doesn't appear to be contesting the stoppage
  16. that was a helluva knee he caught him with
  17. 2nd round was just like the first. BJ is feeding Sherk a steady diet of jabs. Sherk's face is busted up pretty good. BJ takes the 2nd round. he hasn't really had to expend much energy yet either.
  18. 1st round stayed standing, BJ got the better of it. not much damage done by either fighter, but BJ landed the cleaner shots. i give the round to BJ
  19. if Cote beats Almeida, probably him since he would have the longest visible winning streak. If Almeida wins (which i think he will), i have no idea who gets the next shot
  20. 185 has some great bjj guys in the division, hopefully one of them can go on a winning streak so they can get a title shot.
  21. thankfully, Jardine was able to walk out on his own
  22. holy ****! Silva just ran the **** through Jardine
  23. woah, that guy Reljic looked very impressive
