Especially in recent years these team from what Ive read exhaustively explore their personalities. Heck Daniels hinted at it in the interview he did with Shannon. I read a story about a team hiring their own driver to pose as driving service at the airport to pick up a player just to see how that player interacts with them.
The Deshaun Watson effect. I don't blame teams for pursuing all avenues to vet these guys. Too much is at stake for them, obviously.

McCarthy is the only one I would be disappointed with. He is the biggest risk in the draft at QB imo. There just isnt enough tape to make an accurate assessment of him. I even went back and watched his high school stuff to find more. I will trust Peters if he makes the pick. And I will get behind it. But i would actually prefer Nix to McCarthy.
I'm to the point where I will satisfied with any of the top QB's. Makes life easier

What do you think of Nathanial Watson Miss St?
Yep, I like Watson as well. It's been a while since I looked at these guys - November, December

I really like the idea of drafting a MLB type that can learn from Wagner for a year. I think we can find one in round 3. A top 40 pick on any LB from this class seems like bad value.
I like the Temple ILB Jordan Magee but there are certainly others. Wallace, Ulofoshio and Steele Chambers are others I would not hesitate to pull the trigger on.

I think we are actually. JJB had a top 30 visit I THINK...

John Morgan III Arkansas Edge is a player that really interests me on Day 3.

I could easily see JJ having more immediate success than any other QB in this draft after Williams, and I could see us being laughed at for “passing” on him.
But I don’t think he has the ceiling of a Maye or Daniels, and that will play out long term.
For my money, I think JJ has the highest ceiling of any of them with Caleb right up there with him.

Heck I was on McCarthy before it was cool. I think one of my first posts last year on the draft thread was pumping up McCarthy.
Time stamp please @Skinsinparadise 😝

I think Ethan Driskell is super underrated too.
He is I agree. There are quite a few Day 3 OT's that I think will eventually be mainstays in the league for a long time. My favorite is Eastern Kentucky's LT Josiah Ezirim. I also think both Maryland OT's are very good values on Day 3.

I actually really enjoy J.T.'s film breakdown and analyses, but he kinda sucks at predictions.
Lol, I just think his perspective along with Chris Simms adds a little bit more to the mix since they both are former pro QB's.

Sorry if posted previously: JT O'Sullivan's Top 4
No. 1: Caleb Williams
No. 2: Jayden Daniels
No. 3: J.J. McCarthy
No. 4: Drake Maye- 1

There are a boatload of good WR's obviously, but I think Washington's WR Jalen McMillan is flying under the radar. He could be a nice get for us.

For this exercise, we’ll look at completion percentage and on-target rate, as charted by Sports Info Solutions, for each depth of the field.
Kedon Slovis is someone I'd highly consider doubling -down on the position and taking on Day 3.

There is something missing that is hard to quantitfy for me while watching him that makes me think his ceiling is limited.
Lol, that's pretty much how I feel about Maye aside from the ceiling aspect. Even though I frown on Maye to an extent, I do believe he is certainly capable of getting much better in time.

@Skinsinparadise What is your take on McCarthy? I must have missed your take on him. While he may very well be just generating smoke more than anything in this process, for me, he is a legit riser.

OK fine, 4 bad games.
It's obviously hard to weigh the bad games vs. good - whose most to blame etc. It's also why evaluating QB's is so difficult. The Daniels game against Florida State was bad and that did affect my opinion on him. What's amusing to me is that every time I watch an LSU game to watch Daniel's play, I come away in awe on just how damn good Nabers really is. I never imagined I would take Nabers over Marvin if the choice were mine but I find myself waffling more than ever over it.

Just came across this AFTER going McCarthy #2. At least someone else feels the same. I like JJ a lot - on the record now as I was last year.
QuoteNFL.com's Chad Reuter has given his take on it and has named Michigan's J.J. McCarthy (No. 2 pick) and Arizona's Jordan Morgan (No. 36) as the two he would select.

We should prepare for the possibility for JJ at pick #2 lol.
I would not discount it either as hard as that may be for some to swallow

Some kind soul on YouTube has posted some great videos of the top QB's - "all throws and runs." I'm no stranger to going out on a limb on prospects. I'm starting to sour a little on Daniels - and I do mean a little nothing major but, I now am of the opinion that JJ is my QB#2. He's just as good an athlete with a better arm as Daniels for me. I still think Caleb belongs in a tier of his own. I still need to watch a lot more including Maye.

It lacks high end talent and there's no sure fire stud like Surtain, Sauce, or Spoon at the very top, but the depth is excellent. I really wanna grab one in the 3rd.
True. The 40 times have been somewhat lackluster for some of the most heralded DB's. I think CB Elijah Jones would be a good pick for us though his stock is rapidly rising.
The Official QB Thread- JD5 taken #2. Randall 2.0 or Bayou Bob? Mariotta and Hartman forever. Fromm cut

I like Rick quite a bit, but his QB picks were suspect.
