  1. If there was a limit as to what I would sacrifice to get free of Snyder I am not sure what it is!
  2. WE don't know...I am guessing the coaching staff has some ideas, though. Beat me to it lol
  3. Feel the same. Listening to his interview on 980, seems sincere. Seems smart. Very young. I think this could be THE pick that really comes through for us (other than #2 obviously)...
  4. For those advocating for KOC because he seems to fit well with Haskins, I think it is more important that he fits with Rivera. Especially considering the direction they are trying to go right now. And he may, I just think Rivera wants to be certain of that.
  5. Man, someone needs to get a cut up of all his snaps already... BTW, Sweat had a better stat line than Fletcher Cox...against a better line...one week folks
  6. The person receiving a nick name rarely has any say in it.
  7. The way this offense is set up for game 1...this is without a doubt the most speed we have had since RG3/Garcon/Jackson...throw in CT on passing downs...there's some opportunity here...
  8. Well we have seen more from Quinn in actual football games than we have Cam Sims. He actually caught some balls and scored a TD. Cam Sims has missed more NFL games due to injury than Quinn...🤷‍♂️
  9. Meh. I think it will be more middle of the road. Depending on health of course. But Richardson and Quinn are ok. The TEs, when healthy is an above average unit. And Thompson out of the backfield is an above average receiving RB. Now once the Richardson/Quinn/Reed/CT groups start hitting the IR things will get hairy. I am a Harmon fan though, and I think he will be good. I think feel better about the offense going into this season than last. I feel like we have more big play potential with this years WR unit than last years. I’m not as worried about rookie WRs as I used to be. May have something to do with the rules changes, but they seem to acclimate quicker nowadays.
  10. this is very true...our WR group is just pitiful if Richardson and Quinn stay banged up. Reed with another possible concussion. I mean I am huge on Harmon, by all accounts Mclaurin has looked good, Sims and Davis have both flashed...Its a tough situation. I just don't see Docston not making the 53.
  11. I get what you're saying...and agree I don't think we should just cut him. We aren't exactly overloaded at the position. I have no problem having Doctson as a back up. But I do think it's time to stop looking at him as a #1 WR, or a starter in general. I would rather see what the younger guys can do this year. But, if the 3-4 WRs that I feel like could be better than him are all hurt, well yeh you could do worse than Doctson, like uh Brian Quick. I think you need at least one guy on your team that has played significant snaps in his career.
  12. When we drafted him, I thought it was to play ILB, didn't even think twice about it.
  13. Josh Doctson was a 94th percentile breakout age... I don't necessarily understand how that really works. If a receiver is on a team that has a ton of weapons, that is negatively affecting his future in the NFL? Especially if those weapons are older... I mean, I do not see Mclaurin as a #1 receiver, and you don't normally get #1 receivers in the 3rd round. He is a good weapon, hopefully. On the flip side, Kelvin Harmon posted much better in these scores...still only 44th percentile for breakout age, but he was on a team with a lot of weapons his sophomore year, including future steelers RB Jaylen Samuels playing a hybrid TE role and eating up 75 receptions...Harmon still just barely missed the threshold that year. But i guess it does seem to line up overall. There are a few exceptions, but none that had scores as low as Mclaurin. That is somewhat disheartening.
  14. Manusky get a HC gig? I don't care if we have the best defense of all time, that is not happening. But, if the D is top 5, why look to change anything? The way I see it, this year plays out 1 of 2 ways. 1. The team does well, the Defense is stout, the Offense is good enough, they make the playoffs and the entire coaching staff is back ready to build onto a good season. 2. The team does not do well, even with the Defense looking good, they don't make the playoffs and everyone is fired. At that point, we actually probably would be attractive for top Coaches, with a young QB, and a young seemingly extremely talented D.
  15. If he gets 10 sacks this year...this Defense will be legit top of the food chain defense. You know Kerrigan is getting his 10+. Having a speed guy like Sweat coming blindside will also help Kerrigan. And you know the beef up front are each going to get their share, and again, Sweat is going to put pressure on QBs to step up. And with the addition Foster and Collins the run D should be stout. All of that should help hide some of the vulnerabilities in coverage. But even with that, if Dunbar is back healthy, which is looking likely, man we could be looking good. We also have a little bit of depth in the front seven now, between Ryan Anderson, Tim Settle and whoever is the back up between Mason/SDH...not super deep but at least 1 deep with real quality at each level. The other thing is, Sweat doesn't have to be an every down guy to make his impact. Anderson and Sweat could go 50/50 and Sweat would still get his chances to rush the QB.
  16. I couldn't imagine him being cut. I also couldn't imagine the 5th year option being used. So his "value" will come after this season, when someone else picks him up, and we hopefully get a comp pick for him. Bold statement could be he loses his starting job before the season...
