  1. I don't like MacDonald, but I have to respect him coming out to Tool.
  2. That was an amazing fight. The undercard was a little lackluster until the Brown fight, but everything since has delivered.
  3. I assume Pierce is gone now. Although that was probably the case before this.
  4. Me too...when I first saw the news break, I assumed that was wrong.
  5. This fight tonight is going to be terrible if it lasts more than three minutes. I don't think it will though. Well, I guess you could say that this fight is terrible before it even starts.
  6. I went to a music festival last weekend, and one band used Dusty Rhodes' Hard Times promo as their intro. I was an immediate fan.
  7. That's crazy to me. I was looking at everyone's schedules after the game yesterday and it may be around May 5 before we play again. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. The rest is always good, but with the way we were playing, I hate to have that long of a break.
  8. It definitely does not look good. He was upgraded from "wanted for questioning" to being an official suspect. Given his recent history with DUI and cocaine, the fact that he has disappeared is a pretty curious sign. http://mmajunkie.com/2015/04/ufcs-jon-jones-upgraded-to-suspect-in-hit-and-run-case-involving-pregnant-victim Who knows what is going to happen; there were a lot of rumors flying around yesterday about the fight with Johnson being off.
  9. Yeah, they actually signed him a few weeks ago. That should be interesting to say the least. I assume he is going to start in NXT, and apparently he will debut sometime in June. I just know that I would definitely be on board with a Samoa Joe-Kevin Owens match.
  10. I can't wait to get excited about that second round pick, only to sell it.
  11. Clay Guida is a boring fighter at times, but the amount of energy that dude has is ridiculous.
  12. So now I understand how he got this push. Paying dudes.
  13. I only saw part of it. But from what I heard about it...wow.
  14. I think it has gone a little over the top too, but I like how Aldo has started giving it back to him. I think this has been great for Aldo, giving him more of a personality. This fight tour has also built a lot more hype for the fight. I don't know who I am pulling for yet, because I like them both. I think I will lean toward Aldo, but I think I will just sit back and enjoy this one, because I doubt it will be boring.
  15. That just hurt my brain. To be fair, to be that level of professional wrestler, I think you have to be an egomaniac to some extent. I don't know if there are a lot of humble wrestling hall of famers that will come out of the era we are talking about.
  16. Yep, that's what I was going to say too. He is a damn good college coach, but I don't think he would be a great fit in the pros. Maybe is happens at some point if he wants a new challenge, but I don't know how well it would go.
  17. I am pretty sure it was the Residence Inn. At least that is where Reid was found, and it was reported that they were staying at the same place at the time. I work in SouthPark and used to see Ric fairly frequently at the restaurants in Piedmont Row. Really outgoing, gregarious...just a nice guy. Now, I know Ric used to live in a condo near the mall at some point, so he could have lived in both places. I think he may have moved out of the condo after an altercation with his wife. Who knows, he has lived in a few different places in the area since I have been working there. http://www.wcnc.com/story/news/local/2014/07/02/10986270/ http://www.wsoctv.com/news/news/local/police-ric-flairs-son-found-dead-hotel/nW7XQ/
  18. Yep. The Residence Inn. I work right by that hotel. http://www.wcnc.com/story/news/local/2014/07/02/11008122/
  19. Yeah, I used to see him all the time. At least once a month. I live in Charlotte and spend a lot of time in the SouthPark area. But like you say, it has probably been a few years. The last time I saw him, he was walking out of a coffee shop, I shook his hand and he hopped in that white Camaro. He definitely has not been as visible as he was in the past.
  20. I was thinking about that a few days ago. They are going to run out of people to put into the Hall of Fame. There are plenty of people that deserve to go in at this point, but after putting a handful of people in each year and removing the people that Vince has a beef with, the pool is going to be pretty shallow shortly. And speaking of depressing, did anyone happen to catch the 30 for 30 short on the Von Erichs? ESPN aired it last Friday; I was going to post it here, but it looks like it has been removed. The only thing i can find is this clip: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=12393210
  21. For some reason, reading this was like a punch in the gut to me... http://mmajunkie.com/2015/03/longtime-site-coordinator-burt-watson-confirms-exit-from-ufc
  22. That's a good point. I mean, this fight was essentially set up as someone that would come at Anderson with volume, generally not dangerous, punches. Except Diaz didn't. But Anderson doesn't force his opponent into that unless they get frustrated.
