  1. King Mo and...Cyborg? Or is there something else I am missing. And...way to go Mo.
  2. I hate to ask this, but does anyone have a stream? I am in a city that does their own cable and the ordering ends at 10. I was a minute late and it would not let me order it. I guess they are opposed to making money.
  3. Yeah, I have told myself the same thing in recent years, but still gone ahead and paid before the deadline. It sucks because I have tickets that I actually like now, but I think I am going to give them up this year. Since I moved to Charlotte, I only make it up for 2-3 games a year and with the aftermarket being so soft, I have lost quite a bit of money over the last few years. And it is not just the record that has contributed to a soft aftermarket, it is a lot of factors. Obviously the economy has been a factor, but many people would just rather stay at home with their 55 inch HDTVs, Sunday Ticket, their own non $9 beer and their own food. It does not match the game atmosphere at all, but you can put together a pretty good viewing environment without leaving the house.
  4. Another reason I am very pleased that I went with Directv a few months back. I get both of them in HD.
  5. In all fairness, I don't think many people at 185 really can. Except that guy that kicked him in the face.
  6. Hey, that's not nice. It is kinda odd that they are setting up this fight before his fight with Anthony Johnson at 142. I don't think Vitor would lose focus on his next fight, but it just seems weird.
  7. Haha...my thoughts exactly. The guy is a monster.
  8. Hell, I wonder what would happen if Paul Harris faced Bisping. He is not even a top-10 MW, but I think that would be a very interesting fight.
  9. That should be the way it is. Aside from Bisping being a prick, he is a good fighter. But he just is not on the level of guys like Belfort and Sonnen and certainly not Anderson. Nothing against him, but they are just on a different level. I think a matchup with Johnson or Munoz would be very difficult for Bisping as well.
  10. Yeah, I agree with your scenario. I think he beats either Mayhem or Bisping pretty easily, but you are exactly right, Mayhem does not deserve to be in a #1 contender fight yet, even if he beats Bisping.
  11. I have not heard that it isn't happening, but I kinda doubted it, as I thought it would take the headlining spot. But I could easily be wrong. I would certainly be pleased with Evans-Davis and Sonnen-Munoz on free TV, but that is two pretty nice fights to have on a free card. I certainly would not complain though. Somebody did make a good point on MMAJunkie though, as to whether the UFC would want to put Sonnen on free TV in front of casual fans and a lot of people that have not seen the sport before. I am almost immune to Sonnen's babbling at this point, but would it be the best move to put the incessant trash-talking, suspended for cheating, accused of felonies fighter in front of a crowd that is still forming a judgement about the sport? I don't know. On the other side, you have Davis and Evans, who are two pretty good ambassadors for the sport -- classy, well spoken and obviously great fighters. On the other hand, if Sonnen beats Munoz on free TV you know he will grab the mic and try to drum up some more interest in a second fight with Silva, which would certainly result in more PPV buys.
  12. What are the other fights you have heard? The only other one I have heard is Russow-Einemo (and I doubt that is going to be on the main card). I heard rumors of Sonnen-Munoz, but I doubt that is going to happen now, and Diego Sanchez-Ellenberger is apparently headlining a card on Fuel on 2/15.
  13. Awesome. Way to go Crippler. You would think he would learn at some point...
  14. That is more than likely the outcome. Sonnen is relentless and Munoz's MMA wrestling is not great. But it is probably better than Silva's and Stann's and anything is possible when you are fighting someone that has dynamite in their hands.
  15. Hey, but then again, if Munoz knocks out who many people consider the bad guy on national television, they could have a new star on their hands.
  16. Agreed. I think Sonnen has the slight wrestling advantage while Munoz has the slight striking advantage. Which is crazy to say, given how poor his striking was early in his career. He really has come a very long way. Sonnen throws strikes in order to set up takedowns, Munoz throws stikes to knock you out. Speaking of risk, I am also thinking about what a huge risk this is for the UFC. Think about how many PPV's Sonnen-Silva II would sell. Then think about how many PPVs Munoz-Silva would register.
  17. Call me crazy, but I think Munoz has a decent shot. With his wrestling base and explosive hands, this is a dangerous fight for Chael. He should be able to stuff some of Sonnen's takedown attempts.
  18. That's two pretty damn good fights right there. Ballsy move by Sonnen if it comes to pass, because Munoz is on a tear right now. I would be interested to see what else will be on this card, as I saw that there would be four fights broadcast in a two-hour show. That's certainly a good top of the card though. I don't know if broadcast television is ready for Diego Sanchez.
  19. This is what I was referring to, could just be MMA Junkie reading too much into it, but we'll see: http://mmajunkie.com/news/26200/white-confirms-two-hour-broadcast-four-fights-for-ufc-on-fox-2-says-sonnen-possible.mma
  20. Well, weren't there hints that Sonnen would be on the second Fox card in January? And he certainly would not be fighting Anderson on free TV. Maybe it is Munoz?
  21. It is almost 5 a.m. and I am still wrapping my head around everything that happened tonight. I had my two farorite fighters, Wanderlei and Hendo fighting tonight and my Virginia Cavaliers playing Florida State. There is no way that I would have thought that I would go 3-0 in those matchups, but after about a case of beer in celebration, I sure am not going to complain. Now I just need the Skins to hold up their end of the bargain tomorrow so I can go 4-for-4. Three out of four ain't bad.
  22. Yeah, I don't think it was mentioned here, but he was on the B.S. Report with Bill Simmons a few months ago and went into the whole angle as well as just how his WWE character has evolved. It is a pretty damn good listen for those that have not heard it. http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=6808291
  23. For the most part, I agree with you both. Le needs room to land a lot of his strikes, and hopefully Wandy will rush him and won't give him that. I think Le got a break when Vitor went down, I don't think he would have stood a chance in that fight. I like Le, but he has never fought anything like he would have seen against Belfort or what he will see from Wandy. The only difference is that a good shot to the chin will drop Wandy and that would not be the case with Vitor. I think Wandy should win. The gameplan is fairly straightforward, Cung does not like to go backwards. He gets a little uncomfortable when he is backpedaling, but he is pretty quick when he does. Force the action, land some shots and get him against the cage where he does not have space and rough him up. Wandy just has avoid getting popped in the jaw, which really is not Cung's strong suit. Wandy does have to be really careful though, which is not his strong suit. He has never faced a guy like Le before, and someone like that has to be very difficult to train for. Those kicks can come out of nowhere and end the fight quickly, so Silva needs to keep moving forward and take away the space he needs to land them. I am doing my best to pick this fight with my head and not my heart, but I really think Wandy should come out on top. We all know what he is going to do though, he is going to fly at him like he is on fire and swing for the fences. He throws big shots and if they land it will be over, but he also leaves openings to get hit and if he catches one on the button, he will be done. I would be pretty surprised if we see a second round.
  24. Yeah, I can't wait for this card. I have my two favorite fighters ever on one card, Wandy and Hendo. I just hope Wandy can pull it out and not get KTFO again. I don't really want to see him go out that way. He should beat Le, but as we have all seen, his chin ain't exactly what it used to be.
  25. It would be great to get guys like Hendo, Wandy, Shogun, Rampage and Gomi on that Japan card. I am sure we will see a few of those guys, but Wandy has to win next week first. Maybe sign Bob Sapp for a one-fight deal... ceCRgf5tf0g Then again maybe not Sapp.
