  1. IMO, who cares about KOC. Sure he was able to build a rapport with Haskins, but the guy may be getting too big for his britches. If he wants to another opportunity, that's fine. I trust Coach Rivera more than I do KOC. Rivera has a plan and vision for the whole team, while KOC is looking out for himself at this point
  2. Assuming nobody trades all the way up to #1 or the Bengals don't take him, it's all in for Chase at #2 now
  3. Which is exactly why "We can really afford to have one..." by Mark Lerner was such BS.
  4. Based on this, history's on the Skins side. Here's hoping they take Young at #2 The results could be SICK
  5. Chase Young, if drafted, could be Washington's version of Julius Peppers in Del Rio's and Coach Rivera's defense
  6. Agreed. A lot can happen between now and the draft. Would be a great choice, but probably jumping the gun here
  7. Hudson has to be priority to re-sign. Will Harris may be reliable, but is probably not the guy one would want in the postseason, especially after what the Nats did to him in the WS
  8. Sucks to see that. Should still be here. Better hope they have a plan to make up for his glove and production
  9. It's probably a dead issue, but they could've addressed the Rendon contract earlier and gotten a deal done, but low-balled him and waited until free agency when it was too late. The deferral strategy only works for pitchers. Position players don't like it and then take their talents elsewhere.
  10. Should've kept him, but they made their bed when they said they could only afford one guy. Absolutely the wrong thing to say, but it is what it is. Don't know how they'll replace his production and defense which is the bigger issue. I guess they're banking on Donaldson or something else at this point
  11. Fact is the best win now situation for Rendon is here where he has just done it. The question is whether he wants continue doing it or be somewhere where he's the complete face of a team that's wants to win.
  12. Very good gesture by Stras, but Boras is going to do what he does and that's drive the price up as much as possible for this client to get the best deal. Let's hope the best deal is the one the Nats give him. We'll see how it goes
  13. That's what you seriously call "damn good culture." Guys like Rizzo are the ones who truly deserve to win a championship
  14. Here's hoping that's the case. They can't afford to have a hole at 3rd base. If you ask me, Rendon was the MVP of the WS over Strasburg. Pitching is definitely important, but it doesn't drive in runs like Rendon did
  15. Here's hoping because that doesn't look good especially after last year. Hopefully it's just postering. Both guys are very valuable to this franchise and hopefully things do work out.
  16. That needs to reposted every month, and every year on the 30th in perpetuity
  17. It's not hard to see that fans love a winner and aren't going to stand for BS and a loser. Nats deserve to be on top literally and figuratively
  18. Interesting how they stole signs the year they won it all. Feel even better that the Nats won it all. What a bunch of A-holes
  19. From Cordero to Hudson. Heartbreak to exhilaration. That was pretty freaking awesome!
  20. Re-signing Rendon is key. It's not as though they have someone in the pipeline ready even if he leaves like they did with Harper. The guy will probably be the hottest commodity on the free agent market. They need to figure out a way to keep him.
  21. Yeah really a galvanizing, run through a brick wall kind of moment
  22. I had this feeling after 2-0. The Astros got their title in '17. It is our time now.
  23. Washington is a title town. We deserved this and all these years. So proud of guys like Zimm, Scherzer, Rendon. Heck, everybody
