  1. Why would the tax cut pass at 51, but a continuing resolution need 60?
  2. As far as the “Crusade Against Stupidity” goes, I’d say the battle is being waged rather well in this thread. As is expected from the Tailgate...fine and enlightened place that it is.
  3. This escalated quickly. I’m not endorsing any “conspiracy theory” or such. Just pushing back slightly against the “boys will be boys/they’re the real victims” stuff coming from the right. These youngsters were feeling some extreme pride..as they are taught...and the women’s march got em all fluffed up and they went looking for a little trouble. And they found a little. Deal with it.
  4. I think you missed my point. The team colors are blue & white but they do a “blackout” in the crowd where a solid percentage of students, uh.....attend in blackface. Which seems kinda odd to me.
  5. Eagles sports media taking a cue from their beltway brethren. Spend the offseason straight trashing the joint. Gotta get them clicks!
  6. Here’s a good quote and fully factual! The original 2006 act provided for "at least two layers of reinforced fencing" to be built. However, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) successfully argued to Congress "that different border terrains required different types of fencing, that a one-size-fits-all approach across the entire border didn't make sense."[6] An amendment introduced by Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Republican of Texas, was passed, amending the law to read: "nothing in this paragraph shall require the Secretary of Homeland Security to install fencing, physical barriers, roads, lighting, cameras, and sensors in a particular location along an international border of the United States, if the Secretary determines that the use or placement of such resources is not the most appropriate means to achieve and maintain operational control over the international border at such location."
  7. Gaslighting. We are all well aware of the Secure Fence act of 2006. We are also well aware that Trump’s wall is something completely different. Again, why was there no wall funding in 2017 or 2018? Surely you’ve found some “half facts” for that question. Let’s hear em!
  8. I’m amused by the folks that keep relentlessly gaslighting us with the “dems had no problem funding the wall in the past” line.
  9. He’ll get his smirk back when he hits the Liberty campus for freshman orientation this fall.
  10. But “The Wall” is going to end up a $50+B boondoggle that will accomplish nothing. Its a non-starter. Just like it was a non-starter in 2017 and 2018.
  11. I’m fine with the idea of Mueller having more credibility than Buzzfeed right now.
  12. The Republican congress managed to hold out for two years.
