  1. So Everton did have more of hte ball. Had more possession, and limited Liverpool from playing the ball which is what they like to do. There is no skewering there. That is what happened and you just admitted it. Its relevant because Stoke are a team that doesnt like possessing the ball. They allow teams to keep the ball and they sit deep. Its the opposite of Everton's tactics on Sunday, altho I do agree about them being a more physical team. On top of that, Stoke are a cowardly team who dont attack better sides. Can you honestly say that about Everton on Sunday? Its a nonsensical comparison by a guy who is upset his team didnt get two points. Gerrard also said that Everton only boot the ball forward from their goalkeeper. Brad Jones actually had 20 long kicks versus 14 for Howard. ---------- Post added October-31st-2012 at 12:32 AM ---------- well I am shocked you agree with him! just shocked! The thing is I dont thumb my fingers at divers like Gerrard does, unless they border on the farcical like you see with Suarez. Gerrard's comments on diving over the years comes across as a guy who lacks self awareness. we wont
  2. Im not denying he is a chucker, but he did run the offense well tonight which surprised me.
  3. he been pretty good tonight running the offense. Did you just look at the box score?
  4. you're joking? Fats Waiters torched him a possession ago. Beal has been playing bad defense man.
  5. WENGER IN!!! WOWOWOW :notworthy ---------- Post added October-30th-2012 at 06:29 PM ---------- *qwdhadkjadfuyjkqeyuabjh#yqeuyadfbjacjkadyu#qwqkj ---------- Post added October-30th-2012 at 06:36 PM ---------- THAT night in Reading lol wow
  6. so what you are saying is that Everton's tactics worked well, limited to Liverpool's possession, and had more of the ball? You cannot skew possession numbers, you either have the ball or you dont. What you can skew is which team was dangerous solely by using possession stats. I think Liverpool were actually the more dangerous attacking unit despite Everton's possession. They turned into a countering side to offset Everton's tactics in the 2nd half. At the end of the day, we both agree Gerrard was wrong about Everton being just like Stoke.
  7. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/oct/29/liverpool-steven-gerrard-everton-physical I really wish he would stop being a hypocrite. And the stuff about Neville and diving, really Steven?
  8. the roster Wall had his rookie year is actually worse, but this is pretty bad. I dont see playoffs for this group either especially with Wittman as the coach, but I would love to be wrong.
  9. Kyrie is a worse defender than Wall. Thats not even worth questioning. I think Wall will improve somewhat with Okafor behind him instead of Javale
  10. I never said defense wasnt, just like its the case for centers, power forwards, small forwards, and 2 guards. But Irving runs their offense better than Wall does.
  11. Wall even said he didnt want to be the leader, and that it was all too much for him. And he has a lot of problems in a half court offense. I dont see how anyone can watch Wall and Irving play and think Wall is the better point guard right now.
  12. thats not true and Kyrie is a better a point guard. I dont know how you can watch the two play and not see that. Wall still struggles with pacing himself and the team, while Kyrie had that down last season. I think Wall should end up a better player, but I look at the two and see Kyrie outshining him last year even with the one v one match ups.
  13. he had a promotional event last week in DC for his newest shoe. It was in the WaPo. ---------- Post added October-28th-2012 at 10:11 AM ---------- you dont remember this in the summer? http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wizards-insider/post/john-wall-overcomes-fine-learning-in-las-vegas/2012/07/10/gJQAtiReZW_blog.html meanwhile, Kyrie was great at the camp, and was the star of the development team. I believe Wall has the potential to be better, but Kyrie is a better point guard right now. Kyrie is basically Rod Strickland with a jumper (makes sense, since thats his godfather and worked with Kyrie on his game). He better than Wall in finishing around the basket too.
  14. man, Kyrie is a better point guard than Wall right now. He is a lot smarter and can run an offense better. I think Wall could be better in the future, but Kyrie is better right now. and Ernie is staying. This organization is fine with mediocrity.
  15. Ray Allen became that player in Boston, but he could create his own shot when he was younger. He was even playing the point in Milwaukee before Cassell arrived and played some for Seattle. Ray was a better athlete than Beal too.
  16. I hated the trade at the time. I really thought we had a chance to clear cap space and be a player in the upcoming free agent classes. But alas, Ernie and Ted felt best at fighting for the 8th seed with mediocre players attached to bad contracts. This team has no vision, no plan. Its disgusting.
