  1. I couldn't understand what Collins was doing there. Stem to split the WRs to give yourself a chance. He was too far inside the entire time, and he bit on the post like he forgot to watch the outside route. He doesn't look comfortable in that 2.
  2. Collins needs a DC willing to scheme him i to his strengths. He can't do everything, but he can do a few things well.
  3. Great push but Kerrigan can't give up contain like that. Unless someone else was supposed to replace him, that's too easy.
  4. I'm definitely looking at LBs available in the 1st round next year... next piece to the puzzle
  5. Bostic with the easy read to drop under Beckham and covers grass instead...
  6. No his OC needs to be on him for that one. Has to trust his eyes, but he was still worried about the under coverage.
  7. We take the lead back after the rough 2nd quarter.... I like the response to adversity, but still things to improve on.
  8. I understand caution, but you gotta trust your eyes and put that on him.
  9. You are jumping in to respond to my thoughts as if I'm speaking about you personally, why? I even say "we" throughout these thoughts speaking of us as a fanbase. FYI my expectations for football talk with you personally went up in this conversation.
  10. The assumption is always blind loyalty. Just learn football so we aren't whining about basic things lol. I.e. we are over analyzing Haskins couple bad plays when the DL is putting on an absolute show.
  11. And notice how well players develop there since the fanbases have not been insufferable lol chicken or the egg, you can't deny the snowball. We can still hold our players accountable, but the whiny, pessimistic energy should go with the old name.
  12. Tighten up that spiral QB1. He is still getting confidence back it seems.
  13. I am just responding as much as I'm willing to analyze that one play. A LOT more football has been played to discuss.
  14. It literally does have an impact on player growth, but the fans here don't get it. Pitt, Green Bay, New England, Seattle, all have great relationships with their fan bases. We are known as a fickle fair weather fan base. The script here moves to chicken or the egg, win first then have a great fan base. I'm aware the circle of thought we follow.
  15. No chance Sweat isn't getting that sack on 29 of 32 QBs in the NFL
  16. Coach, watch Thomas get the inside leverage then give it up to flatten. If you don't see that then I know a lot of.. nvm. Also, any coach who is jumping all over.. nvm. You got it lol
  17. I didn't blame Thomas, I watched the play lol I see the field differently from fans as someone who has played this game for a long time. The conversation will be Haskins and Thomas understanding the top of that post break, but all fans are entitled to speak from what they see. The thing I agree on is him being flustered. That happens. Now he has to respond and learn. The part I laugh at is key moments in growth process of players, many of our fans generally antagonize them lol but we always wonder why players don't develop as well here. Those fans won't change so I don't debate them. Nearly twenty years I've read it here lol.
  18. DL is still balling though missing Chase. LBs can play a lot better in the run and pass game. DBs looked good when they were communicating but Apke is not an NFL defender so yeah. Scheme needs to mix in a bit more pressure to get Mayfield off his rhythm. LBS need to be more aggressive and swarm their run fits together. DBs need to get a couple of INTs off pressure throws. Browns will likely lean on run first so shut down that first in the second half. Swarm tackles on Chubb/Hunt.
  19. How does Haskins handle the adversity? The best and worst he's looked this season in one game. Definitely pressure on his back and I like it for his process. Rivera and his staff at half time also.
  20. If you watched the route, you see Thomas flatten out the post, but I'll let you guys have it. I agree that flustered him so he has to react better now. It's a process of growth that this fan base doesn't understand after all these years. So I laugh at the fickle reactions.
  21. Also as a vet here not surprised at the reactions to his first INT of the season lol
  22. Great start but the young bull is flustered after that INT. Defense needs to get the ball back before half to get some rhythm back.
  23. Someone needs to be assigned to watch the weather every home game. Rain? Break these bad boys out!
  24. I like that the pants don't match the numbers perfectly. I like that the helmets are brown and kinda throw things off. This is a tribute to a time when football was simply about hitting people in the mouth, and not worrying about looking cute. I'd love to play in those unis. I feel like the people who are complaining don't get the point that this is an 80th anniversary throwback. Those who wanted a different throwback style, we still have 85, 90, 95, 100, etc. I'm sure they won't stop here, and there are obviously still more retro styles to choose from in our history. Those who wanted something new for our alternate, you chose the wrong year to expect that. We should have been asking for that in year 76,77,78, and 79. The 80th year is a throwback year.
