  1. I know. I know. I thought about that after I posted it, but for me, personally, I think if we could do it, it would be great, but it would also get old for me quickly. I have friend who is a die-hard Bills fan, and he lives in his own special hell place. I don't want that.
  2. well at least explain yourself. And personally, if Maye has Allen's talent great, but you better have some pieces around him or you will lose important games in the playoffs.
  3. Goldilocks already has two sacks already in the first half for San Fran. How come we never got that?
  4. Well, I guess we will find out soon enough. Baker is a mid-tier QB that had a better protection this year and some excellent WO's. He lacked weapons with the Browns. Kyler Murray has struggled with consistency and injuries as a QB. He has struggled since he entered the league. He is even leaving open the possibility of returning to baseball. I am not a big First Take fan.
  5. You can't come in and drop something like that without an explanation. I mean it is the guy's character. What did he do that makes him a "sleazeball"? I am excited about this hire. Some guys make better Coordinators then HC's.
  6. Interesting. Thanks for the tidbit. I often wonder how many of these stories are just ways to fill a boring offseason leading up to the draft. But actual knowledge of a player's behavior? And the QB to boot. This place has been a soap opera for years. We don't need that.
  7. Honestly the guy has good communication skills, and guys respect him. Who he hires matters most IMO. So, if he is not an offensive minded coach. Hire a good OC. Hire a QB coach. Get a decent staff around him and let's roll. Whose out there that would be an excellent OC for a rookie QB. For me the OC pick is very, very important.
  8. Why don't other people see this. I mean I think he has a good gig in Detroit and thinks they can run it back next year. I had Detroit making the playoffs this year. I mean I think it could be as simple as he thinks they have the pieces on both sides of the ball to get to a SB.
  9. Sort of a gut punch to end the season for him. Could be he simply wants to run it back with Detroit and try to get to the SB. And maybe Detroit offered more $$.
  10. He is not doing ****. And on top of that the announcer said something to the effect how ineffective their 4 man rush is. Sound familiar? One quote I focused on was the fact that Johnson listens to his players and makes adjustments. See I never thought Bienemy would do that. He is just sort of rigid.
  11. So, do you think the GM is going to take a QB because it is a bit like, well you just have to swing until you hit on a franchise QB? And that is just the way it is. And I am just throwing it out there, because we have the time to do this, but is there any QB, i.e. Kirk Cousin's or even Geno Smith, that you would trade for, and then get a boat load of picks, by trading the #2 spot with another team? A team that is in need of a new QB? Maybe even Denver? It just seems to me our roster, for the most part needs an overhaul. And again, maybe I am wrong and maybe they just need better coaching but the D line, the secondary, our O line is just not very talented. And I think we need a true #1 big, bodied receiver, a very good TE, and a quicker back. If you are the GM and you think you could pick up a lot of really good talent in this draft, wouldn't you just take another QB, on a prove it sort of deal while you build the roster?
  12. So are you saying with the hits he takes we could have another potential RG3 issue? I watched a lot of what I could find on Daniels, and it looked to me like he made some really quick reads, so that that the guy was open. I respect your opinion. So are you leaning more towards Williams or Maye at this juncture?
  13. . What I like about Daniel's is how well and accurately he throws the ball. And I think in the NFL today you need a dual-threat QB. I enjoy as a fan so much when a QB can place the ball accurately, particularly the long ball. I have read a lot about this guy, and I like his character and grit. He is a pretty happy guy who IMO has had to overcome a lot of loss in his personal life. And I am impressed that he adjusted his conditioning to put on some muscle and he just seems to work very hard at his craft. Maybe I am wrong, but these are the kind of guys that are coachable. I also like Maye but not as much as Daniels.
  14. I have been thinking about it a lot, but after watching the opening playoff games I realize the QB is the most important position on the field. Look at CJ Stroud. He is already excellent. A great skillset. Consistent. Goes through his progressions, moves fluidly around the pocket. Can run if he has to. Man, he is good. I was most surprised by Love. I only watched maybe 3 of his games this year because there is a Packer's bar around me, so I stop in now and then. They were sort of hating on him in the beginning of the season...lol! But he looked flawless against the Cowturds. He turned a corner. I wish Howell had. But he did not. He actually regressed. I am 100% certain Adams, and the HC will get a decent OL assembled from the draft, and if need be, in free agency. But we have to pull the trigger on a QB. I have no problem keeping Howell because he will not be a disruption and he is on that cheap rookie deal. I think with a good coach Howell will learn a lot and become a serviceable backup or get another opportunity in the league.
  15. I like Adam's mindset. Hearing him say "I can tell you that you are going to see great competitors, a physical team. And you're going to be impressed by what you see on the field and you're going to see it right away." That excites the hell out of me. That is definitely part of how he and Shanahan shifted the niners. Leadership, expectations and finding guys with talent, even guys that might be diamonds in the rough, that fit what they wanted to do. And it really summed up for me being a fan of this team for so many years, how SO many times I walked away from games thinking the effort was just not there. And nothing irritated me more. I am so excited for us as fans.
  16. That is one thing I focused on with Keim and Wagoner regarding Wagoner's evaluation of Peters. It also very clear that Shanahan was looking for specific "types" of players that would fit well within the system he wanted to run. So, Adams had an idea before he began evaluating players. It is so important that the GM and HC are on the same page, which Spielman pointed out when he was interviewed by Keim.
  17. Then he will probably take the job. That is my point. There has to be flexibility. Cause if he does not think he is his guy, would you put your first HC reputation on a guy you did not believe in? Probably not which is why you need the caveat.
  18. I am not sure Johnson will take the gig in Carolina if he thinks he is unable to rehabilitate Young. I mean anyone taking the HC job in NC has to be clear with the impatient Tepper that this can't be a one and done season. Period. And if he can't get the production out of Young, he needs to have the ability to bring in his own guy. I really think depending upon how those conversations go, will determine if Johnson considers going there even even if he is offered a blank check.
  19. I hope all the rumors and tweets, which are often rumors, are wrong. If not, this guy is going to be a handful. Coming literally out of hell, we do not need that as a franchise. Thankfully we just hired Peters. Let him get to the bottom of it. But there seems to be a lot of smoke around Caleb. Well Jayden Daniels would not be a bad pick. If Caleb falls to # 3, Jarod Mayo will get him in line, or he can just go back to school and hopefully grow up.
  20. That is such a bizarre take. LOL! I like Sam Howell, I have not hidden that fact, and believe the offensive scheme did not play to his strengths. It is hard to know what they are anymore honestly. But my head says EB only threw the ball maybe 30% of the time, and that is not a good structure for any QB, let alone a 1st year starter. BUT the fact remains Sam fell apart. I think they need to bring in a GM, watch a lot of tape, talk to Sam, and if they believe Sam could be "rehabilitated" here in a new scheme, with a rebuilt O line that has actual talent, then see if he can perform. He is still on a rookie deal, and if you think he has potential why deal him? But I am like everyone else here. We have an opportunity for a new QB. We have to swing at it and then build around them and hope for the best. I just do not know who is best. I think they will wind up with Maye, but who knows.
  21. The weapons that Peyton Manning had during his time at Indianapolis alone were stellar. He had some really, really good receivers like Harrison, Wayne, Clark, Stokley and Pollard. The Bears should have fixed their issues 2 years ago. And yes, they have a decent WR1 they added for 2023. And Field's was super reliant on him this year. Over 1,000 yards, and 6 TD's in 12 games.
