Exactly... Didn't he have a stellar start to his career and then a coaching change played him out of position?  He seems to be a bit of a liability at free safety but when played where he should be he stood out.

With this much turnover, will Ron still get his ring?  He is starting to sweat.

I like the new way of doing things.. take the good players from the Panthers... intriguing.  Ron just got confused on how to do it.

Sam was also a 5th round pick and Mac was 10 overall or something silly like that. People never forget where you came from and often hope they can fix you. The NFL was basically out on Sam before he even got here. I think that matters too. 

 

Overall I think they have very similar value at this point. 

Maybe I over value Sam, but no way Im trading him for a 6th.  I get wanting a vet to mentor our new shinny QB but Sam's potential has to be more valuable than a 6th rounder.

Let Mariota mentor the new QB and Sam.  Many say Sam is destined to be a back up anyway.  Mariota is the perfect mentor for that.

Fair to say New England really likes the top 3 QBs in the draft?  They know they will get one (if not JJ).   I suppose it’s not like Mac was someone they wanted to build around anyway so maybe reading into it too much but feeling like they and others think the top 3 are no brainer picks.  None of the top 3 teams appear interested in a trade down either.   

Must be nice having a QB like that.  Happy season is over.

CMC with 33 yards.  Purdy looking meh.   KC defense is doing their job so far (as are both Defenses).

Well the right moment would have been within the first 5 years.. but better late than never I suppose.

Obviously proof is in the pudding and results on the field matter most but that was an excellent intro press conference.  Its easy to see why he was the hire.  Again, results on the field are paramount BUT, it sure feels like this franchise has come a long long way in the mater of 18 months and is starting to resemble something totally different.  

Oh and please change the name.
