  1. Oh, we would have screwed it up, no doubt.
  2. I hate the fans of Boston. I hate the Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. I loved laughing hysterically at Bob Kraft during the 2007 Hall of Fame inductions when he said behalf in the most Boston accent ever. But I've wished for the past 15 years Tom Brady was the QB for the Redskins. He is the GOAT.
  3. I am our of town and was in the car when the pick 6 happened. It thought like you a route was on. I haven't seen them play but am wildly impressed with the way they have bounced back and are in control of the game.
  4. Clearly this is from the Art Vandelay school of Architecture.
  5. Video footage of the altercation: Seriously though, this is the first thing I thought of when I heard this story. It seems like this is right out of this movie. If Gianforte comes out with a sex tape of him banging his opponents wife, then we know his strategy was taken right from this movie.
  6. You guys do know he schedule is set for years to come, right. There are only 2 games based on last years results. This isn't the old days where a 1st place team plays a stacked schedule and the last place team is loaded with cupcakes. The only complaint about the schedule should be the when we play teams. Last year it was a joke with the Sunday night Thursday road game.
  7. I would have gone for the Bartman joke for the guy sitting in the row by himself.
  8. Actually, I think he has gotten worse. He can't even make free throws now, when he was 86% as a freshman. It really is strange because he doesn't look like the same player he did 2 years ago.
  9. Yeah, I think most everyone that posts here agrees with that. I think most of us also agree they should run more. If you are just going to roll the ball out and say play basketball, why not run and not let the defense get set. That's what UNC does. Of course, MD doesn't have the athletic bigs like they have, but they can still take advantage of the defense in transition. Anyway, this game is eerily similar to the Northwestern game in thr B1G tournament. I hope that if MD comes out on a run, they don't let off the pressure and start standing around.
  10. I don't like this start. 6 possessions and they haven't run a set yet. It's just stand around and let the clock run. I just hate that the frustrating part of watching them came right out of the gate.
  11. From 44-34 to 64-72. Northwestern outscored MD 38-20 the last 16 minutes of the game. MD played so well to get that 10 point lead, then started playing like garbage on offense. It sucks because the last 2 times MD had the conference tournament in DC, they can't even make it out of the first round. MD can only blame itself for this one. Kudos to Northwestern for playing good defense and making shots.
  12. Had an administrator in college that I saw walk into a glass door. It happened 3 or 4 times. It's not like they moved the door, but he would walk right into it when leaving the cafeteria. That guy seems to be him at a younger age.
  13. Huge win after a big shot by Melo. That was a very highly competitive game. That's good because they will all be like this from here on out. But having that double bye is huge. Anyone in the DMV that can go to the tournament this week should go. I wish I could get up there for the games.
  14. I would be shocked if Izzo doesn't play zone. Unless he figures on saving it for the B1G tournament. If MD ends up the 4 seed and MSU the 5 or vice versa, they will have a rematch next Friday assuming the 5 seed wins Thursday. Still some things to be determined and I'm sure Izzo is gunning for that double bye. But he could play coy and bust out the zone in the tournament and not this weekend. Regardless, MD needs to play good team basketball like they did tonight. Very few 1-on-1 possessions and a lot of movement of the ball to find the open man.
  15. Ceko out for the rest of the year with a broken ankle. This is a shame. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/18727229/maryland-reserve-center-michal-cekovsky-miss-rest-season-broken-ankle
  16. Tough loss. Almost 8 minutes without a FG to close the game. That's how you lose. I really felt like they should have won this game the way they were playing for most of it. But that long drought at the end is tough to overcome. I still don't understand why Turgeon stops running offense in critical situations. It's always just give it to Melo and hope the defense can't defend a ball screen. I still really enjoy watching this team. It just gets frustrating at times when they stop running the offense.
  17. Interesting. I guess when I saw the news I thought that meant he signed. Clearly there is more going on here. From MD's standpoint, RB seems to be one of their deeper positions. It was definitely their strong suit this past year.
  18. The other thing I like is that the announcers said this may have been Ohio State's best game of the year. So MD took their best shot on the road and still won. What a great game just making play after play.
  19. Good tough win. I don't know why it's so hard to win up there. But to overcome some bad shots that Minnesota made, bad calls, and a double digit deficit is great for this team. I love what I see from the young guys. Cowan has been struggling but still made some great plays. They just need to keep playing as they have been and they will be alright come March.
  20. Great resiliency by the team tonight. They had to overcome some of their own stupid plays and some awful officiating. I loved the execution when they had to retake the lead. That was great ball movement to get the shots for Melo. I prefer that much more than having him dribble and try to hoist up a 3 or throw up a shot over 2 guys. The offense came to him in those moments and he capitalized.
  21. Sadly, I think this was the key to the cowboys winning. They got away from romo and all his turnovers. Now they have a QB who doesn't gag under pressure. He held them back for so many years and now they have a guy who plays well when it counts. Of course, he couldn't win a playoff game either, but he's got a lot of losses to go to catch romo.
  22. I was thinking the same thing watching the last 5 minutes of the game. I think it was 3 possessions in a row he held the ball, drove and took a bad shot, which he missed. I have no problem with him taking shots late, but what I don't like is him getting the ball and holding it the whole time to throw up a bad shot. I guess this goes to the lack of offense Turgeon runs sometimes. Anyway, I'm glad to see them win again. There is a lot of talent on this team and seeing guys like Dodd play well and Huerter making big shots late is encouraging.
  23. I agree. Good win, but I'm still a little worried with the execution on offensive late in the game. It worked out today because of the talent of the players. But it's still concerning that they stop running offense when it really matters.
