And looked like she wasn't expecting any applause because she kept speaking and had to stop once the applause started. Wish this happened more often, though. Hopefully it's a start and a result of the J6 hearings.

We all know that and likely he does as well. But what separates him from the rest is he will never say that. So happy to have him back in B&G for years to come!
I would hope Terry knows he didn't need any help writing it lol...

it was a mistake. This is what’s happening on news shows all over tv especially in right wing media. They gave them an easy out to ignore the bombshell and discredit everything she said, because they can focus on an easily refuted story that she wasn’t actually present for.No one is ignoring it except for those who would have ignored everything anyway.

The very fact we’ve spent 2 pages discussing this stupid story is why it was a self inflicted wound by this committee and a big mistake. Just don’t even bring it up if it wasn’t a first hand account or if you didn’t have someone else to corroborate it. The focus has shifted entirely from the very real bombshell of Trump being told the crowd had weapons, he didn’t care because they weren’t going to hurt him, and he still send them to the Capitol to stop the certification, and the first hand account of people in the room saying the president didn’t care if the VP was killed.
They played right into their hands on this one
Stop thinking that what you talk about or what we here on this thread talk about represents what the entire country as a whole is paying attention to. There are probably far more people who do NOT post to social media out there than those who do. We are the tiniest of slivers of the population. How many pages have been spent on this thread is so damn irrelevant to everything. Hell, even FOX isn't focusing on this as much as we have lol...
It wasn't a mistake to bring it up in testimony as it shows Trump's mindset at the beginning of the insurrection. Until it is proven otherwise, it should be taken as accurate--that is, that she really did hear this story being told. "A source close to the secret service says that two other people in the secret service said that..." doesn't negate anything.

If the rest of the story is collaborated, that's good for her but this part of the of the story not being true, damages what she said.
In what possible way? lol...Unless you're saying that even with corroborating evidence that proves she's telling the truth, people will still think she's lying solely due to some anonymous hearsay claiming she is. Which, if that is what you're saying, nobody alive should give two ****s about what that segment of the population thinks about any of this.

One bad NSFW word, but well worth it lol...

I also just want to point out that:
Hutchinson publicly relaying under oath what happened in the SUV that she was told by others = hearsay
Anonymous source not under oath privately relaying they were told by others what Hutchinson said was not true, also = hearsay
For now, I'll trust the hearsay given publicly and said under oath a billion times more than the hearsay said anonymously, privately, and not under oath.

Trump could be sitting in a jail cell and still get elected president.
If they don’t get collaboration of the steering wheel story; it will just discredit her entire testimony.
They shouldn’t have had her testify without getting others to testify and collaborate along with her.
I know they rushed this because they feared she may have decided to clam Up or fear she would be eliminated.
And if the rest of her entire story can be and is corroborated? What then? -

My "fun" fishing story: When I was a kid fishing, I went to cast, and accidentally hooked the dog behind me in the tongue. Lots of whimpering and difficulty in getting the hook out. Good times.
There is no emoji reaction for that story lol…My “fun” fishing story: when I was around 10 yrs old I went fishing with some friends—first time ever fishing. One friend let me borrow a rod. We walked to Lake Anne in Reston going thru the woods. At one point I realized I stepped in a big pile of dog ****, and jumped backwards to get out of it…and immediately stepped onto a hornets nest that has fallen on the ground. Got stung a billion times on my right ankle as I ran away crying. Friends calmed me down, we kept on walking to Lake Anne, my ankle in pain. Finally got there and started fishing, got a bite…and my rod instantly broke in half lol. Never fished again.
**** fishing.

This didn’t make it in the thread yesterday, but the Senate head of Security (not sure if that’s the exact title) died last night. It was only reported by one source at Fox when I went to bed. The conspiracies that were floating around last night were obscene. NBC picked up the story today that he died. No, he wasn’t shot by a Clinton.
Uhh, what’s up with that link?
Highlight everything in my post then read the bottom lol...

House Republicans privately stunned over testimony: "Enough to make me throw my lunch against the wall"
https://pornshtuff.com/fetish/backdoor milfs in 3d.mp4
Some House Republicans are privately stunned over the explosive new Jan. 6, 2021 revelations from former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson — a trusted and familiar face to many GOP lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
Lawmakers and aides said they were particularly disturbed by an episode where Trump was allegedly so irate about not being taken to the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, that he lunged at his Secret Service inside the presidential limo and another episode where Trump allegedly expressed support for the “Hang Mike Pence” chants.
One GOP lawmaker said they weren’t able to catch the whole hearing, “but enough to make me throw my lunch against the wall” – a reference to how Trump allegedly threw his lunch against the wall in anger at one point.
Another Republican lawmaker who was watching the hearing texted CNN: “wow” and acknowledged that today’s hearing contained new and explosive information that shed light on Trump’s mental state on Jan. 6, 2021.
“This does show how emotionally and personally involved Trump was in the January 6 events,” the member said. “He really cared about what was happening at the Capitol. He wanted to be a part of it.”
But this lawmaker was skeptical it would move the needle: “I don’t know how many persuadables there are out there. I mean, if you think President Trump hasn’t done anything wrong with what’s been released previously, today isn’t changing your mind.”
*you didn't actually think I'd screw up and post a porn link, did you? lol...

It doesn’t really matter anymore. Anyone who hates Trump will believe he lunged for the wheel no matter what. Any testimony to the contrary will be viewed as lying/perjury.
MAGAs are already saying how she wasn’t credible, this was lying testimony.
There are no facts anymore.
The problem with this thinking is that it will be little more than he said/she said, and excludes the possibility of evidence one side is telling the truth. I firmly believe that the way the J6 committee is doling out this info and presenting their case are for reasons that go beyond "Hey, look at this. Told you." It's rather methodical and isn't being treated like a trial. And I'm starting to think the DoJ is playing its role as well. I mean, would it surprise anyone if we learned down the road that the non-scheduled hearing today was planned all along, but the committee wanted to present it as "We just learned some bombshell news and now we must hold another hearing, it's so big"?
