A guilty verdict isn’t meant to slap his followers upside the head and make them see reality…a guilty verdict is meant to provide justice and deter other political leaders from following in the same path. A not-guilty president Trump will likely usher in an era of American fascism and give that narcissistic tub of goo and the GOP overall the license to institute retribution political measures that will be felt for decades. Women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ community will all be 2nd class citizens through both federal and state legislation. I personally don’t give one single solid **** if his supporters change how they see him. This current direction of the GOP needs to be squelched, and now.

If Trump is arrested tomorrow, people are going to complain that he should have been arrested yesterday. Me, I just want him to face legal consequences for his actions. Doesn't matter to me if it happens now or in February or next summer. I don't want even the slightest chance of a "not guilty" verdict, either...that will embolden him and his supporters like ****ing crazy and make them all literally more dangerous than they've ever been. Imagine Trump getting a not guilty verdict and then getting elected president again...I can't think of a worse worst-case scenario. And nobody would be patting Garland on the back and saying "Hey, I thought you had enough evidence, too. Good try, though." I'm buoyed by seeing real progress across multiple cases involving numerous people. Hell, even the Breonna Taylor case is making progress in the middle of all this. I don't care if Twitter experts claim that the DoJ has "all the evidence they need" to lock up Trump...they wouldn't possibly know if they did or not, how to best proceed with this "unprecedented" case against Trump, etc, etc...It just takes one juror to completely **** things up.
