What happened to all his supporters who were saying "there is no such thing as a box safety"? He is terrible in space... they could have had a safety with similar skill set for 10% of what they paid him. Horrible signing

Seriously? Miller was the Super Bowl MVP. Manning was a game manager--and not a very good one at that. They won the game in spite of him, not because of him. Please.
You want to explain, then, how Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Nick Foles won Super Bowls? How Mitch Trubisky was a horribly missed field goal away from an NFC Title game appearance?
umm.. sure.. Eli, Flacco and Foles were superbowl MVPs.. and again i am not talking about superbowl specifically. I am saying that QB has much more impact than any other position on the field. and can make a difference between 3 and 10 wins by himself. No other position including pass rusher can do that

This argument is tired. No one player wins you a SB. Brady didn't do it alone, Steve Young didn't do it alone, the "one player away" argument is tired too. San Fran went from crazy to the SB. Was it because they drafted Bosa? No. But it sure as hell made a huge difference.
Thats just not the case.. yes .. one person CAN win you a Superbowl ..but its not even about the superbowl.. a QB can take an average team and make it very good. No other position can make that kind of an impact, because no other position on a football field has that level of control and influence on the rest of the players. A great defense can carry a QB but its still not one player... as good as Bosa is, that whole niner Defense was incredibly solid and healthy. (something it wast the year before)
There are countless examples:
Gurapolo coming to a winless Niner team and rattling off 7 straight wins.
on the opposite side:
Chicago is built to win now lots of talent on both sides of the ball and yet cant seem to win mostly due to the QB

fine.. he led that defense.. but Manning won that superbowl.. Whatever he lacked in his arm.. he was by far the smartest player on that field and a QB is more than just tossing the ball to the open player. His adjustments at the line , tricking the D, opening up running lanes, etc is unmatched.. he is widely considered one of if not the smartest QB in the NFL

Rivera hit the nail on the head. Trading down in theory sounds great but often times you're giving up a star for a bunch of guys.
Look at the RG3 trade in 2012. Now can anyone name one player the Rams took with those picks without google?
The Chiefs traded up to get Pat Mahomes. What did the other team get for those picks? Nobody has any idea, because they passed up on what could be the QB of this generation.
Blue chip players win games. Chase Young is a blue chipper. We haven't had a blue chipper since RG3 and that was for just one year. We haven't had one on defense since Sean Taylor and that was 2007, 13 freaking years ago.
Chase Young. No matter what.
correction.. blue chip QUARTERBACKS win games. while pass rushers could impact a game and could even win one or two.. most of the time teams can game plan to put them out of the game.
how many superbowls have any of these guys won?
- Cameron Jordan, Saints.
- Myles Garrett, Browns. ...
- Calais Campbell , Jaguars. ...
- Demarcus Lawrence, Cowboys. ...
- Joey Bosa, Chargers. ...
- Jadeveon Clowney, Texans. ...
- Danielle Hunter Vikings. ...
- Mack
- Donald
- Von Miller

Can we stop with the Foster talk.. the guy will most likely never play a down for the Skins. Its far from a given that he will even play football in 2020. LB upgrade is major need for this team so as not to waste the pressure CY will hopefully be able to bring.

Sweat was invisible in the Phili game.. which is a concern. Then again the whole D generated very little pressure so it was poor game from all pass rushers.
Kerrigan is notorious for starting slow.. but if all our pass rushers are that slow..it'll be a loooong season

i am on the same boat... he seemed to have very little impact in preseason. Hasn't shown much... Anyone else concerned with him going against starters in less than a week?

pats dont have exactly the best track record with FAs, let them have Gordon. the guy is a headache and cant stay on the field

I actually think Tua would be a great fit for this system here... and yes i would do it in a second for a 2nd rd pick. Not happening by the way.
