I don't believe that anyone here has claimed to have cracked the code. I've yet to see anybody say that McCarthy or Maye or even Williams are going to be AllPro. Nobody has said that they know for sure who is the next John Elway or Peyton Manning. Maybe you can find those posts though. What many have been saying is that there is just no way that a QB with so many obvious negatives can be the best prospect or even 10th best prospect since Andrew Luck in 2012 and Sam Bradford in 2010. Your post that I quoted said that those scouts believe that in real-time Daniels is a better prospect than all of the QBs since 2010 except for Luck, Burrow, Newton, and Lawrence. Some of them even have him ranked higher than those QBs. Lawrence almost loses out to Daniels. For real? That is what I meant by hilarious. Why doesn't anyone ever ask these guys who do you comp Daniels with, because it must obviously be something that you'd create in Madden. Like a combo of Montana/Vick? Or what, because all I see is Justin Fields/Mariota or a more elusive Alex Smith, who took years to be any good in the NFL and still got clowned in the playoffs. All I've seen is them say he's possibly Lamar Lite, which is great, I guess, if you want to see regular season heroics when he's not injured. My prediction is in 4 years they'll be making a similar claim about someone else and pretending all this never happened. "Daniels, oh yeah, that guy was just too reckless and was clearly overdrafted because of his outlier Heisman season on a stacked roster." What are the odds of this outcome? I put it at 85/15.

I just can't get past the fact that he's going to either run or get sacked over 50% of the time he's pressured, those are guaranteed hits he's going to take. It'll be like a combo of Howell last year getting sacked 3+ times a game and also RG3 style cartoonish open field hits. Teams are obviously going to try to pressure him. Completing a pass on 20-30% of those pressures ain't gonna work. Not a chance. In addition, he's likely 200lbs soaking wet, doesn't anticipate or use the middle of the field. He'd have to be as clutch as Mahomes and as sturdy as Favre to make it out alive and win a lot of games. And this is what they call an elite prospect? Even with average arm talent. At least Vick had a cannon, yet still couldn't win in the playoffs.

This is pretty hilarious. Talk about hindsight. I'd like to see the update to this that'll never happen in 3 years.

But what if McCarthy is really the next Tom Brady? Nobody knows. It's actually slightly possible. I'd give it a 10% chance that he's even 50% as clutch as Tom Brady. I think that is more likely than Daniels being a clutch Lamar Jackson. So I'm going with Maye 1, McCarthy 2 and if they believe he's a better leader and more of a clutch player then it would be better to take McCarthy. Especially if they don't see Maye being clutch at all.

I thought you said that the team needs 4+ elite NFL starters? If those 2 in the first turn out to be elite then that is definitely more value than 2 depth players picked up in the 2nd.

I don't buy it at all. Its like saying that a record label isn't checking out the new bands coming out. The tech company engineer who ignores new ideas. They're DONE! Following what guys like Williams, Maye, MHJ, Turner, etc etc were doing is what he probably spent a good portion of his time with. It's why he got the job. Does anybody really think he walked into the job interview not having a clue what was actually going on? Come On Man!!!

Allen was garbage at first, worse than Howell last year easily but I think he got better towards the end of the year instead of worse. With the way Howell started if he had improved this team wouldn't be in position to draft a top4 QB. What would suck is if all of these guys are busts but Howell turns out to be a winner. That would be so Redskins.

Is it just a coincidence that about 99% of the Daniels fanboys joined since January? This one just spawned in the past few hours. It's a conspiracy!!!

Well you also said they did because they didn't want to wait for Maye to develop, the QBs who obviously has better traits.

I doubt that is why they're brought in those guys and if so I hope the get fired.

Allen put up 30s multiple times in playoff losses. Meanwhile Vick, Randall, Lamar were routinely held to 3-17. Lamar has 6tds and 6ints in 6 playoff games and was sacked 26 times. This is what you want? Allen 10 games 21td 4 int 23 sacks. Lots of points.

There wasn't much doubt with Maye either until the Heisman fanboys showed up a month ago. Also, Lamar isn't exactly the greatest comp in the world and before him we'd have heard Vick, or Randall, all 3 of which have maybe .300 playoff win percentage Daniels also shows all the traits of not passing but instead getting sacked or running under pressure most of the time.

RG3 had better stats than Luck! Also if both were coming out today most teams probably take RG3 first judging by this media hype. Tom Ramsey had better stats on a 10-1 team. Elway went 5-6 at Stanford.

Then how do you end up with Josh Allen or John Elway or Andrew Luck?? None of these guys had the best tape.
