  1. If Bezos bids - definitely worth it. To be a fly on the wall at BOA and Allen and Co would be interesting. While absolutely no one on this thread has any more insight than pure guesses - after the Harris Group bid got trumped by the Walton bid - I wonder if they attached an expiry to the offer. Especially with all the speculation about Bezos .
  2. While I agree, if there is any truth to Snyder’s problematic cash flow issues and his need for funds - he can’t be waiting too long (especially with mid-May payments coming due).
  3. maybe more akin to “the play is under review in NYC”…..
  4. I could have misheard him, but I thought Sheehan had once said post the rebrand - if they had just kept the name “Washington Football Team”. Perhaps they could still simply use the nickname of the “Skins” (obviously removing all association with Native Americans) in its use.
  5. While it’s only my conjecture - I tend to believe that Jason Wright was a plant from the NFL and was part of its plan to start the process to get Danny to sell. No proof, but the NFL knew that Danny was a huge problem and it was going to require some inside help. As for Jason’s competency - I have been extremely disappointed, but how much is that from having to take direction from Dan and Tanya (the “dynamic duo”)? From my read - this article speculated that Bezos might be interested. I haven’t seen anything that specifically had him making an offer. The only offer that I remember seeing for the 40% share was from Jose Feliciano and another person from Clearlake Capital, which Dan of course turned down.
  6. First, and foremost- I greatly appreciate the investment of time that @Skinsinparadise puts into following the team. I might not agree with 100.0% of his takes, but it’s well North of 97.0%. Your summary of the Gutman interview is spot on and you could tell that he was somewhat constrained due to the sensitivity and NDAs in place. On the valuation of $6.0B bid, I think Gutman put it best with the following analogy using Taylor Heinicke’s new contract as an example. When first announced - it was $20M for 2 years and since then - it has boiled down $6.3M for 1 year. Both are right. After listening to this interview twice, and about to listen a third time - I am 100.0% behind the possibility of the Harris Group bid winning and excited about the potential from Mitch Rales’ involvement. This will be more than a pure investment and “trophy” - there will be true passion AND business competency. The best antidote to 24 years of Danny. For those who want to listen - here’s the link to the Gutman interview on Sheehan’s show this morning. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-kevin-sheehan-show/id1477400167?i=1000606593809
  7. If both bids are equal as a tie breaker - the NFL should let Snyder pick his preference. Once this group has been identified the NFL should select the opposite bidder. Snyder’s business acumen is clearly so bad - the opposite would be the best bet for the fanbase
  8. Thanks for sharing. This statement from Bram is spot on and is why this will all happen sooner rather than later - Dan needs the cash. He’s clearly been financing his lifestyle through “the business”. Even after paying himself an exorbitant salary (once reported at $10M, but recently they said he got a large increase - to what?). Curious, did they also pay Tanya a salary (if they charged the team $4.5M for a logo on his jet - one would have to imagine). Outside of his ownership- I don’t think he has any other sources of revenue. Just announcing the Snyder’s have come to terms with “……. Investment group” for the sale of the team isn’t enough. He needs this to go through and get approved ASAP - so that he can get that 30% wire transfer. He would appear to be cash poor and as we all “know” - the price for yacht and jet fuel has gone up substantially…..😫
  9. Not saying Bezos as a minority partner. But if Apostopoulos would need partners.
  10. Take this Silverdome info a step further. Perhaps, a coincidence, but who did the Apostolopoulos family sell this property to ….. AMAZON. maybe a partner with Bezos? With a net worth of about $4.0B - needs partners and Bezos clearly has a large enough checkbook
  11. Don’t forget two $48 M houses in the DMV AND his living quarters in the UK (he ain’t staying in a Motel 6)
  12. Totally crazy. Even if he could find it, Dan isn’t parking over $200M in escrow - there’s a reason why he took the $55M LOC. Any available cash flow is going to yacht fuel (cue the “…boats and hoes” song from Step Brothers)
  13. …and in some 3rd world countries you’ll find these Commanders jerseys along with Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl LVII World Champions
  14. Probably not as much as little Danny boy’s head spun after the Commish’s office called him on the carpet about his indemnification demand and told him to simply “STFU”….
  15. One way for Bezos to make Danny more amenable - offer to buy his Potomac, MD house at full price of $48 million because that’s the only way he gets anywhere close to the asking price…..
  16. There’s a reason for Snyder’s 180 degree pivot from the October 18th press release where it essentially closed with the point that the Snyder’s would never sell the team to the announcement on November 2nd that the Commanders were exploring all options. Interesting point surfaced by the Twitter handle tracking Snyder’s yacht (and plane) around October 31 that his airplane made a couple of visits to Tetterboro (an airport in NJ that private jets use for visits to NYC). My gut feel is that a message was delivered that there can be two versions of the Mary Jo White report delivered. Hence, the sudden turnaround and reason why it hasn’t been delivered yet.
  17. The guest “Brendan Darr” is Kevin Sheehan’s producer. I will be nice and just say that I don’t place much stock in this guy. He always seems to be negative when it comes the Commanders.
  18. According to a Sheehan podcast this fall with Howard Gutman an esteemed DC lawyer and former Ambassador to Belgium - the fine was a farce. Well worth the listen https://www.audacy.com/theteam980/podcasts/the-kevin-sheehan-show-46664/howard-gutman-interview-on-wft-investigation-887628100
  19. Not really nit picking - there’s a long history here of complete sloppiness and mistakes. Need we be reminded of the tribute to London Fletcher? This wasn’t a live interview - it was recorded so that they could edit it and place it in this tribute, which overall was outstanding, but with basic mistakes like this - they continually display incompetence.
