This is absolutely true.
Lewis and Wall were both 3-11 from the field last night plus Lewis was 0-5 from 3 point range. Not good.
And the 29 game record mentioned above is consecutive road losses to start the season not consecutive road losses.
Great ****in' game yesterday. First time the Wiz have won 2 games in a row all season and first time they beat a team with a winning record.
You know what's next right fellas? Next game in Milwaukee......
And that great contract of his.:doh:I didn't see the Miami game so I can't remember the last time I saw a team who couldn't close out a win like this.
The ****in' Kings!?! We made Beno Udrih look like a ****in' all star!
Watching The Wiz collapse on the road again last night was painful. Really nice game from Lewis last night. I know this isn't saying much but probably his best as a Wizard.
Has Blatche even heard of help defense? Seriously I know he is incapable of providing it but is he even familiar of the concept?
Is Yi on this team?
I was wondering why Flop was not giving Howard more playing time toward the end of the game 'til I read his knee flared up again.
Yeah I'm surprised they didn't make more of an effort to resign a hustle / energy guy off the bench like that. We traded Haywood and Caron for an injured Josh Howard. Grunfield you are killing me!
+1. He really struggled early last night. And you know that guy. Once one little thing goes wrong, he slumps his shoulders and starts to play even more poorly. The guy just could not get it going last night. On the other hand Heinrich played like a house on fire last night against his old team. He had a mouse under his left eye starting some time in the second half. Dude's a scrapper.
This quote from Uncle Ted was about 5 posts up.
"I was surprised to see the Washington Post writer that follows our team NOT being in DC last night to cover our game and win but was in Atlanta to cover the Hawks vs. Magic game."
IWas he referring to Michael Lee?
What a sweet sweet victory. I flipped the set off when we were down 17 and then turned it back on later in the night and watched from the last 4 minutes of regulation on.
Maybe we can actually win a road game at some point this season.
Man did we need that last night or what?
If this team is going to be successful we need Gilbert to be a consistant threat / scorer like last night. Agree with GACOLB that Armstrong had a great game last night. Also agree it was Heinrich's best night as a Wizard. I'm still waiting to see Wall and Gilbert develop a chemistru together but I can wait a little while for that to fully develop.
Nice win last night. Let's see what happens tonight in Bahston.
Now isn't that a change of pace? 9 ****ing steals? Are you kidding me?
We have got to get Gilbert back and work him into our offense somehow so Wall can be more of a facilitator and we won't have to rely on him for 30 points a night to win.
John Wall is obviously not fully formed yet but as long as he can stay healthy the sky is the limit for this kid. He was in high school 2 years ago. How some folks can say Blake Griffin will be the ROY no question at this point seems crazy to me.
I don't know who was supposed to be covering Drew Gooden but that dude went off last night. Blatche? McGee? Yi? He had 25 points in 28 minutes! Good grief.
I railed on the Booker trade at the time so I'm sticking with it. Despite the fact that he played 4 years in the ACC he doesn't seem that polished to me. Maybe he'll come on though.
Gilbert is a straight up retard. He has a mental illness and it's going to be a long 3 more years.
He really impressed me last night. He was cleaning the glass, setting good looking screens, doing the little things. Wall is Chris Paul fast. I am hoping for the best but I see McGee getting skooled by most big men this year.
Thank you. That guy is a DC poser. He represents us in no way. He's a tried and true Chicagoan and would $)^^@&% Michael Jordan if given the chance.
Plus no true Washingtonian would ever had said what he said about Sean Taylor.
Hail!
Thanks for putting this together MTH.
It's good for the newbies to know the history and show some respect to some of the founding fathers (Art excluded) when they post.
I've been around for a while and am proud to say I contributed some $$$ in the early days.
Didn't want to clog up the Stadium with another thread but I ran across this link today that shows the design of all the Redskins helmets (and the whole NFC East for that matter) from 1959 - the present.
Thought it was pretty cool. You may too.
