  1. Damn man we are the only winless team in the NBA right now and you dont think we have the right to boo hoo a little about it? I don't think we are the worst team ever but the very fact that we can't do anything about it is why folks are ****ing.
  2. So Rubio was gung ho about Minnesota? Probably not. But if he eventually wants to play basketball at the highest level he has to do it in the city that drafted him. I know hind sight is always clear but this was just a collossal **** up by EG.
  3. Oh I forgot this jaw dropper. The Wizards' # 1 draft pick's first professsional shot was an air ball free throw. Seriously. You can't make this **** up.
  4. I was ****ing seething watching Rubio yesterday. Who trades the #5 pick overall for two players whose contracts expire in 1 year and 2 years (but only ends up playing1?) When you get clowned by the Timberwolves, you know you are ****ing up. And yeah I heard the boos yesterday. Watching Rubio in the pros is going to kill me.
  5. Eight years in and counting and the LeBron James Will Never Be A Champion Era is moving right along as expected.
  6. Of course winning would help put fannies in the seats.:obvious: And I'm all for it.
  7. I really like this idea. Blatche has lost his mind. He read half of the book the coach gave him on how to be a team player. He asks for the ball in the low post??? And tells everyone to shut up...AFTER 1 GAME! Tell me basketball aficionados, is it good to get 4 points total from the PF position? I looked up Blatche's +/- stats. He is -21 in the first 2 games. http://basketballvalue.com/player.php?year=2011-2012&id=413
  8. And this made me laugh out loud. Before the lockout, Saunders gave Blatche a book titled "The 17 Essential Qualities Of A Team Player." Blatche has said he read about half of it. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7393538/on-twitter-andray-blatche-washington-wizards-tells-people-shut-up
  9. I wish...... Wall learned to play in control more. McGee and Wall could make their free throws. Blatche didn’t think playing defense was optional. We could run a few more half court sets effectively and rely less on the fastbreak. But....holy **** I get the feeling we are going to love Singleton. That guy can play man defense on anybody. Turiaf looked good too (scrappy D, taking charges, hustle, setting picks) but I have a Singleton boner right now. You’re not going to win too many games where you get outrebounded by 20.
  10. Don't know if you guys saw this. It's The Sports Guy on The Wiz. WASHINGTON WIZARDS Needs: Um … good players? Additional Notes: I can't figure out Les Boules. They could have amnestied Rashard Lewis, created globs of cap space and cherry-picked two or three of the remaining quality guys in a market that just crashed. Why not make a run at Afflalo and Wilson Chandler (when he becomes available) and gun for the playoffs right now, especially when John Wall is the odds-on favorite to become this season's breakout star (a la Blake Griffin last year)? Potentially, they can sign two quality guys for a discount price. How does a nucleus of Wall, Afflalo, Javale McGee, Wilson Chandler, Jan Vesely, Jordan Crawford, Turiaf and Whatever They Get From Andray Blatche sound? Why wait? What They SHOULD Do: It's too late … they never amnestied Lewis. Now that the Clippers are finally good, I'd like to nominate Washington as the league's new laughingstock-for-decades http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7360397/the-eleventh-day-nba-christmas?view=print
  11. Well now it's official. We didn't get a ****ing thing for Haywood and Caron - who was one of the bigger fan favorites in recent DC history.
  12. I really like the Turiaf pick up. He will give us a hard nose, veteran presence and we gave up nothing to get him. "I know they lost 15 games by three points or less so maybe I can help by bringing a little bit of experience, being out there, the key rebound, key stops, the key steals." Why not sign a Roger Mason? I just hope this doesn't mean we have no interest in re-signing Nick Young.
  13. Wall said on Comcast last night that he hurt and at 60-65% for the majority of the year last year.
  14. I'd like Howard back as well. The younger (and immature) guys on this team NEED his veteran leadership on the court and in the locker room.
  15. A beer at Fed Ex Field is $9 a piece now? Holy ****.
  16. I heard y'all booing loudly and clearly from my couch yesterday. Did it seem apparent that the home crowd was booing Beck from the stands yesterday?
  17. You have to hand it to John Wall for playing at Barry Farms. No better way to feel like a local. And how do you become the AFRO sports editor? I'm jealous.
  18. This news is probabaly a little old but from The Sports Guy's NBA Draft Diary. Hey Wizards — don't think I haven't noticed that you're slowly transforming yourselves into a young, high-flying, high-energy team with cool caps and jerseys. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/6698842/view/full/welcome-draft-diary-xv
