I watched a lot of the game but thankfully missed our boy Jan Vesely shooting an air ball on a free throw. (He is 3 of 15 on the season at the line. Unbelievable. dude can't shoot...at all.) Okafor looks like ****. I hate Livingston. No game. I think we have a keeper in Beal. Man Crawfordid is a shot chucker. I also read it was the first time both teams finished with a shooting percentage under .33 in SEVEN YEARS.

Is Wittman starting the right 5? And I say lay off Webster for now. He has a sack and since when is it OK to cheer the mention of Lebroni's name in that arena?

So I guess we really do suck.

I was thinking more minutes. The guy is better than this, right? I keep hoping he can play through whatever problems he's having and be more like the player he can be / used to be.

Why in the **** is Okafor playing only 11 minutes? Seraphin played a great game but got himself trapped in the corner toward the end of regulation 2 or 3 times where he got abused by the cagy KG. Pargo and Crawford were both -12 on the court. Singleton was amazing. He had me off the couch with that dunk at the end of the game. Overall they played better than I was expecting although us and Detroit are the only winless teams in this league right now.

OK. Here's what I got. Barron was fantastic. Active on the glass, moving well without the ball and playing defense. That ****ing Varejao. We always make him look like an all star. I’ll be glad when he retires. I can’t believe some of you guys are down on Beal. He is the youngest player to ever start a game in this franchise’s history and it was his first professional basketball game! You don’t think a little time is in order before you start hating on the guy? That being said - Not gonna beat a lot of teams with Wall and Nene hurt and wearing street clothes.

Holy ****. I just realized our season opener is tonight!

I keep telling myself, "Self, the Wiz will be just fine when Nene and Okafor are both in the lineup" but I'm starting to not believe myself a little. Who is going to play pojnt for the first month of the season? A.J. Price, Jannero Pargo or Shelvin Mack? (I'm guessing Price.) It looks like Beal had a good game and we did go on a 22-0 run last night.

But I read right here that it was OK that we extended Blatche because the contract was reasonable.

Title track is one of the 9 categories so I wouldn't be surprised that winning a title makes the fans feel like they are getting more bang for their book. Why would this surprise you? The game day experience at Fed Ex is lacking and our fans are aware of it. I thought a nationwide ranking by ESPN was as good of a subjective method as could be found. I'm open. Show me a better one.

if Beal is off the board, the Wizards have talked to teams about moving down to Nos. 5, 7, 8 or 9. The Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors and Detroit Pistons hold the 5, 7, 8 and 9 selections. My best guess (and I stress guess here) is that the Wizards would probably look to include Andray Blatche in any trade-down scenario. If we trade the # 3 pick for a later pick and Andre Blatche we have lost our ****ing minds!

This is frightening. Why would you trade a blue chip like the third pick in the draft?

As far as on the court, The Wiz are a better team now than they were before making this trade. It seems like what people are ****ing about is the cap flexibility we gave up. Well DC is not exactly a top free agent destination now is it? I still can't help but feel we aren't done making moves yet either. Just have to chill for now and see how things play out.

How many people in this thread predicted that New Orleans would get the # 1 pick? Sooo obvious. Thanks a lot Stern. I'm glad to hear we won't be trading the # 3 pick. I think even EG can make a good selection with the # 3 pick. (And I fully expect Jordan to blow it somehow with the # 2.)
