  1. As much as Wittman has grown on me, **** like that does drive me nuts. I hope we add another assistant coach to put in his ear over the offseason. Someone with a little more common sense to go with his no non-sense attitude...
  2. Dude, I want to kick the refs thru the television right now. JC!!!
  3. Gotta respect the fact team is keeping in and out of single digits without Wall, Ariza, or Beal right now. We're overmatched, but this still isn't over yet...
  4. This is turning into one of those "let's just get the hell outta here" type of games. Happens to everyone, hate when it happens to us. I like it when Wall gets mad. It reminds that he actually gives a damn...
  5. I'll admit, I love it when the wizards don't follow the ESPN script (at least when we win anyways). That man Mr. Wall has liquid nitrogen in his veins. Ya, this team needs to focus on winning now, forget the lottery...
  6. Did you say Jason Collins starting? Man, perfect timing for the Kobe"Gasol emotional return at the staple center...
  7. That actually makes more sense then some magic juju curse. Getting to the tournament is hard enough to be doing it multiple years in a row. Obviously the Hoyas need to change something because whatever it is they're doing, it simply is not working in March at all. JC...
  8. Ya, so can we focus on drafting a C/PF instead of a SF now? Please? Pretty please?
  9. Wizards have been had a bad habit of playing down to their competition. It doesn't matter what they do this offseason going into next year, they have to snap out of that. It's all mental, we were the better team and we didn't show it. A lot of iffy calls, but watching the fourth quarter was straight torture as a fan. C'mon, wiz. Losing season series to the Bobcats? Tighten up, guys...
  10. So we have to wait till after 2016, then. That sucks. guaranteed contracts seem even stupider to me now. Can we in theory resign Webster knowing it will put us over the luxury tax next year? This site shows a serious drop with Ariza and okafor gone after 2014. http://hoopshype.com/salaries/washington.htm
  11. Okafor and Ariza's contracts expire after next season, so I wouldn't be pressed to get rid of them. If I had to amnesty anyone to keep Webster, it'd be Nene. I love the guy, but he's not worth that much with the injuries and all and we'll likely be drafting a guy to fill his spot in this draft anyway. I don't care how much of a teammate Nene is, if I have a choice between overpaying Webster or keeping Nene on the roster, you know where on what's best for the team going forward.
  12. Crazy, but I'd rather them call the fouls when we're getting hit while trying to score. We wiggled our way out of a couple Ts, especially Booker.
  13. Suns playing like a team that doesn't want to lose a fourth game in a row. Wiz gotta match that if they want this win, because are showing they want it more. There are going to be nights like that, but it doesn't have to be tonight.
  14. Just saw little piece of Wittman snapping on a reporter insenuating that he was lying about Beal's health status. Watching that it hit me why the players like him. As fans we may be frustrated with him on an Xs and Os front, but he brings a certain attitude that the players respect. You see it on defense and you see if when the players give interviews. He may not be perfect, but he is a part of the culture change in DC. Also saw Beal expected to play tonight. Not sure if he's going to start, but I would really like to see Beal, Wall, and Webster play like a big 3 tonight. We've already moved ourselves closer and closer to the middle of the draft, we might as well grow as a team and try to end this season with a respectable record. As I fan, with all the injuries and BS we've been through, I can live with that...
  15. Agreed. I'm tired of hearing all our SF options when we already have one.
  16. Wall really starting to look like that talent that justified him being pick #1 overall. Did you see the range on that three? Daaang...
  17. Man, as someone pointed out, it really is depressing how much of this thread is always about next year and offseason moves. It gets to the point sometimes I'd rather just watch the games and hope for the best, and think offseason when it's time to think offseason.
  18. 27 points and 14 assists is pretty damn awesome, imo. Sucks I missed that, even worse we still loss.
  19. That 3-point barrage by Williams to start the game just sunk us in a hole we could climb out of. I agree we need scoring and someone to help keep opposing players from having rebounding nights like that. We really need a scoring big man, like an Al Jefferson.
  20. He's trying to damn hard, which especially tonight was unneccesary. Beal was having a career night, he should've been given the ball more. Still no excuse for the team as a whole missing that many free throws, almost bigger reason why we lost. We had the knicks with no fouls to give with more then six minutes left in the game. Wall didn't have much of any turnovers until the end of the game. There are sometimes he seems like he's trying to meet the expectations of being a #1 overall pick. There's pressure there, man, the heart is there, he definitely gives a **** about winning versus losing. He needs someone to talk to, really he does. This team doesn't need more inexperienced talent. They need veterans.
  21. I don't agree with benching Wall at all. I agree that he hurts the team when he turns the ball over a lot, but he's been the the leading assists player of both teams in 6 of our last 9 games including tonight. The guy is 22 years old and coming off a knee injury, Benching him isn't going to lower his own turnover-to-assists ration. I'd rather Wall out there practicing shooting to make up for the time he lost because of his injury.
  22. That Taylor Swift song doesn't sound country at all. It sounds actually, kinda, cool.
  23. JC, guys, sixth win in a row against a team with a winning record and we still suck. Glad I was able to get enough of the stream to work to catch the last minute and the Beal rebound. Was able to see them make it work, wasn't perfect, but we won, that's what matters.
  24. Okay, cool. Not watching game, stuck with updating box score. Looks like Wall hit the shot to put us up by four with 13 seconds left. I have a lot of respect for how they spread the 119 points so far around with 7 players in double figures and still no one over 17. And Denver is at least a playoff team, so its not like we did this against the Bobcats or something.
