Man he just gives me big time diva vibes who will be more worried about branding and image than working on his craft. Dont get me wrong if hes there at 2 Id still snatch him up in a heartbeat but Im leery of trading up to 1 to get him.
Chase Young all over again. No thanks to Caleb. Give me JD5 or Maye. Hopefully JD5.

Everyone is so angry....
What was our plan besides Ben Johnson? We had a LOT of eggs in the BJ basket (giggity), and it didn't work out. MacDonald was the silver medal strictly because he was unknown, up-and-coming. Granted, I feel some of this too, but jeezus, we're acting like we 100000000% blew this.
Snyder can't hurt us anymore. Just remember that.
That’s the thing, this front office put all their eggs in the Ben Johnson basket which is a major red flag. They seemingly had no back up plan and got left standing at the altar. I’m assuming he got a 5 year deal. He won’t make it past 3 years.

Quinn resurrected the worst defence in the league in 2020, to make it one of the best. The fact that he hired Shanahan, Lafleur, Morris, McDaniel, Sarkisian, Koetter and others in the first place means he CAN recognize coaching talent. The fact that he took Ryan and his team to the SB means he has proven he CAN get there (unlike some others).
John Schneider hired McDonald because they are trying to get away from Pete Carroll's influence. Hiring Quinn (who is close with Carroll) would have effectively meant more of the same influences, since both would be in the same building (how many meetings would Pete be in?). Schneider wanted a complete break because he wants HIS influence to prevail, given his newly-acquired control in the org. It's a lot easier to exercise influence with a young first-time coach who owes you his job. Instead of someone who hired you.
The bottom line: coaches who have coached with Quinn and players who have played for Quinn all rave about his work and leadership. Respect from peers is a huge indicator of someone's quality.
Quinn didn’t hire Kyle Shanahan. Kyle was hired by the Falcons a few weeks before they hired Quinn.
Quinn also didn’t promote LaFleur when Kyle left and he let LaFleur leave for the Rams where they had I think the top ranked offense in the league under LaFleur.

Got played by who?
Ben Johnson for one.

Sometimes I believe that to be true

This front office and ownership got absolutely played, like they have since the early 90s.
All I know is pain with this franchise. My first memory isn’t even the SB win against the Bills. It’s a 3-0 loss to the Jets at home

We've had 20+ years of Snyder telling the fanbase every offseason that there's one special guy who's gonna come in and totally transform our franchise, and wipe away all the past ineptitude in one clean, instantaneous swipe.
It doesn't work like that. It didn't work for Mike Shanahan, it didn't work for RG3, it didn't work for Chase Young, it didn't work for culture change Ron Rivera.
It wouldn't have worked for Ben Johnson. It's not gonna work with whoever we take at number 2 this year in the draft.
The fanbase needs to get out of the mindset of swinging for the fences and expecting a lottery ticket to fix everything. Rather than striking out on homeruns, I'm gonna sit back and start being happy with singles and doubles for the next few years.
Dan Quinn isn't perfect but I do still think he's better than what we had. I'll be curious to see who we get for OC, and I expect if nothing else, the bottom half of our roster and special teams to be significantly upgraded over the next 2 seasons.
The Houston Texans say hi.

Rivera had a more impressive resume than Quinn before joining Washington.

Logan’s going to be biased, but also have fantastic insight during Quinn’s tenure. This is it for me—I'm hoping he sticks with calling the defense. When I cheer for my team, I want the head coach delivering consistent returns with what earned him the job in the first place. For the young offensive-minded head coach, it's all about calling the plays.
Call the plays!
Or flip it around—offense, well, that's the easy part; defense, now that's the real challenge. Having a sharp defensive mind can be a game-changer and give us a crucial edge.
What defensive minded head coaches have won the SB since Bill beat Quinn? 0. Going on 7 years now, times are changing. This franchise continues to trail behind.

It’s just hilarious and really sad that this team didn’t learn from having Kyle, McVay, McDaniel, Slowik, and LaFleur in the building. The blueprint is right there to be successful in the new age NFL and they go and hire a retread. It absolutely is uninspired.

Yeah if we hired Quinn as our DC it would be a great hire. No arguments there.

A defensive head coach in a league where offense is the most important it’s ever been with the game being so catered to offense is just mind numbing. This team spent the better part of the last 5 years trying to rebuild the defense thinking they would channel the magic of Alabama and it got us no where  This team can’t do anything right.

I don’t care if the players love their coach. That means nothing. Logan is reaching.

You would’ve thought this team learned from the mistake of letting all the awesome coaching talent leave over the last few years coupled with their success. It was right there in front of them.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Terrible and uninspired hiring.

Vrabel is the best outcome. What a failure of a search

Chase Young was always a clown and was more concerned about doing Eastern motor s commercials than playing ball, so glad they got rid of him.

No thanks to Quinn or Raheem. Don’t like retread HCs that have been failures.

I still think JD5 goes 1 after the combine but am praying Washington takes him at 2 if he is there. Maye wouldn’t be bad either, just stay away from Caleb. Also think BT Jr. ends up having just as much as a successful career as Nabers. Was hoping BT would drop to the Bills to help out Allen but he’s shooting up the draft boards.

Caleb is going to be a bust. Everything about him screams red flag. Maye or JD5 please.

At the end of the day I want what’s best for this team and am just trying to share some insight I have but the made up bs to combat me is laughable. We all want a winner. In my humble opinion, JD5 is that guy.
The Official QB Thread- JD5 taken #2. Randall 2.0 or Bayou Bob? Mariotta and Hartman forever. Fromm cut

Jayden will be the best QB out of this draft. You can bookmark this post. A guy with SoCal sticking up for Caleb! And I’m still thinking JD may get himself drafted 1st overall after the combine.
JJ is a poor man’s Daniel Jones. Anyone drafting him in the first is throwing their pick away.
