It’s a minor injury (I think I heard some sort of bruise?) but he has to come to an injury settlement with the team before he can be released from IR.

Bada is technically on some sort of IPP version of IR. They basically got an extension to figure out what to do with him while he’s hurt. I imagine he’ll be moved to the roster exempt PS spot eventually.

I would guess an IR move is coming for someone like Toohill.

Barber on the practice squad seems like the perfect scenario. I hope Moreland and Reaves end up on the PS but I wouldn’t fault them for trying for a new start somewhere else.

I don’t think the issue was not having the ability to keep more than 4 linebackers. It was having more than 4 linebackers worth keeping.

Yeah I think they were a little nervous about the other potential kick and punt returners both being rookies (Patterson and Milne), so Carter gives them a veteran bridge at both spots. Will be something to watch… if he doesn’t produce there I’m guessing they won’t wait around forever.

Yeah Toohill and McTyer could both be candidates for this.

Yeah Thomas is your “big” target. Terry is great at bringing in contested catches, regardless of his size. Dyami Brown has a similar ability. If you need a designated guy to throw fades to, you’ve got Cam Sims. Plenty of versatility with this group.

From what I can gather, the final 3 cuts will come from this group: Deandre Carter (Milne is safe) Ricky Seals-Jones (Reyes is safe) Casey Toohill (Toney is safe) David Bada Jared Norris David Mayo Darryl Roberts Darrick Forrest I could really see any of them being cut. I think Bada is one cut since we can stash him for free on the PS. I’d probably lean RSJ over Carter given the makeup of the rest of the receivers but I could go either way on that. Toohill may get cut with an injury designation. Roberts wasn’t impressive but given that McTyer and Forrest are banged up they may think they need the depth there. Still would be surprised that he showed enough to keep over Moreland though.

Just ran the numbers. This definitely lines up to keep 4 TEs. 3 QB 3 RB 6 WR 4 TE 9 OL = 25 offensive players

They might only keep 4. To be honest I’m not sure what Forrest has proven that guys like Reaves, Moreland and WBK haven’t.

Damn, that one bums me out. Apke making it over Reaves and Moreland… hard to feel good about that.

He’s a QB though, I think you are underestimating how in demand an even semi-competent QB is. I agree with Jericho I think he’d get claimed quickly.
