  1. Ok let me reframe he is probably the most popular among real MMA fans who love the sport and are involved in it. I guess if we include the fanboys and the occasional watcher then you are probably right.
  2. BJ flatout is probably the most popular fighter in MMA i know he is my favorite and alot of others. BJ is probably the most talented fighter in MMA and nobody will beat him at 155lbs period that is his natural weightclass. The only guy at 155lbs that i'd be interested in watching him fight is Diego Sanchez who is gonna be a handful for everyone at 155. I think you got it wrong though even if BJ loses he will be regarded has 1 of the best ever by the fans who love him. He is the guy who fights anybody at anytime, he seeks out the best, he does'nt wanna fight guys he knows he can destroy. He has held the belt at 155lbs,170lbs he has fought at 185lbs and even fought Lyota at 205lbs the man is a true defintion of a fighter. He would fight Brock if they offered it, he don't care, he is a warrior. I've also read that BJ would rather stay at 170lbs because it is better competition for him. I expect GSP to win this fight because of his size and strenght advantage but he will never bang with BJ he don't have the heart to do it. BJ could just be a GSP and stay at 155lbs and beat all the guys he should beat to me thats the difference. BJ seeks out the best fighters regardless of his disadvantages until GSP seeks out guys like Anderson Silvia who would challenge him, he will never be regarded has highly by me has BJ is.:2cents:
  3. x2 He should win the oscar that was sad. I honestly thought he was gassing and on top of that his hand is broke whatdya know. I'm a huge fan of Cerrone that kid has heart and a will to win. I see to many guys quit everytime they face adversity especially in the local shows. My fightclub is also having a show in Va about 45min south of DC on FEB.7TH in fredericksburg if anyone wants to come out and support the guys. It will be about 20 fights after the card is completely finished. I know he is working on finalizing a few more fights for the card. Barbarianfightclub.com
  4. I love it Shane always has been 1 of my favorite fighters but this surprised me i thought Margarito would wear him down. I wanted Shane to fight Mayweather so bad before he decided on Oscar. I always though Shane had the skillset to give him a run for his money but Pretty boy would never fight him. I guess we'll see a rematch with Cotto? Punisher? who's next?
  5. x2 BJ and GSP are my favorite 2 fighters. BJ is my favorite and i'm hoping GSP decides to keep this fight standing. But i think GSP learned his lesson in the 1st fight and won't stand much at all. I think GSP will win the fight by continually useing his size and strenght advantage to take BJ down. I can honestly see GSP stopping BJ on the ground but a more likely ending will be a lay-n-pray decision. My biggest question is can BJ's cardio go all 5 rounds againest GSP because he is gonna spend alot of energy defending takedowns. This fight won't be a boxing match like the Sherk fight he is gonna have to work. I can see BJ winning 2 ways either by submission off his back or if GSP decides to stand and bang. In my opinion pound for pound BJ is a better fighter but he is at a huge disadvantage. If BJ pulls this fight off the legend of BJ Penn just got even bigger.
  6. That, and they were scheduled to fight last year and Shogun hurt his knee. It was rumored on sherdog before the fight today even happened they would fight if Shogun won. I've heard rumors Chuck has been training at other camps and being 1 of my favorites i truly hope so he has to start being alittle more defensive and maybe even start useing his wrestling more. I'd love to see him just go up to heavyweight i think his diminshed handspeed would work well with the bigger guys.:2cents:
  7. Chuck vs Shogun in april in montreal just announced today has a co main event. I guess Shogun might be about to face his 1st knockout unless his cardio improves drastically.
  8. x2 i guess your not the same without the juice. That was a terrible fight i don't care if he has'nt fought in 16 months that is a terrible display of cardio conditioning did he even train. Shogun had the shoulder lock in rd 2 but was to tired to finish it. I thought it was a way premature stop Coleman was gonna grab the leg and probably was gonna win the fight. Has bad has Chuck has looked lately he would destroy Shogun. Dan won with takedowns and not much else i had him winning rd1+2 and Rich rd3. In a 5 round fight i think Rich woulda wore him down. Kang fight pissed me off he was dominating the whole fight and gets caught shooting for the takedown.
  9. I think it is gonna be very hard for anyone not named Fedor to beat Brock especially has time passes and he continues to improve. The only way i see to beat Brock is by submission like Mir got him. That was his debut fight and he was jacked up fighting wild to end it early. In my opinion the fight should have never been stood back up and if not for that Mir was done he really took a beating in that fight. I also think Brock is far to big, strong and thick up top to be submitted from the guard. It will take some sorta knee bar, ankle lock etc during a scramble like the 1st fight. All Brock has to do is exactly what Mir did to Nog is stand up. Mir can't take him down so Brock will dictate where the fight takes place. Brock also has shown a great chin so far and incredible punching power he has dropped all 3 opponents he has faced including Mir with a jab. I can't see Mir beating Brock at this point I think he is gonna embarrass him the guy is 280lbs and moves like a middleweight the more experience he gets the tougher he will be to beat. RIP Mir
  10. I saw him tap has well atleast it looked like it maybe someone can find the video of it. He defintely tapped againest Amir and then cried he did'nt.
  11. Your probably right about Lyoto with regards to styles but i think his unorthdox style will produce a victory. All Forest had to do tonight was keep it standing he was kicking him to death. I was very surprised though that Forest could'nt prevent damage from guard and stall the round after all they have been hyping his ground game. Greg Jackson has had the best camp for quite awhile. I'd put Delagradi right up thier with him but he does'nt have has many topnotch fighters.
  12. x2 i can't stand Rashad wait till he fights Lyoto i hope he clowns him. Rashad is a classless douchebag always has been nothing but a showboater. Brock is gonna dismantle Mir. BJ PENN For president :notworthy
  13. I know this, but Nog has'nt looked that great since joining the UFC and leaving pride and Herring layed him out but did'nt pounce. I think Brock is the only guy out thier to even give Fedor a fight right now. Some people don't wanna believe Brock is the real deal but this guy is a freaking monster and a great athlete. For all the talk about his wrestling he has pretty good hands with serious power he dropped Mir,Herring and Randy all pretty easily. I see Brock Ko'ing Nog.:2cents:
  14. I'll bet whoever wants to that Lesnar destroys Nog. Lesnar will overwhelm him thier is 0 chance Nog hurts him standing and i truly believe Lesnar can knock him out if he chooses to keep it standing. Lesnar has knocked down all 3 opponents in the UFC with virtual ease and KO'd Randy with a glancing shot. The only way NOG gets the fight to the ground is if Lesnar takes it to the mat. I think Brock is to strong and big in his upperbody to be caught in a submission from the guard atleast a upperbody submission. It will take a some sorta ankle lock or knee bar to tap him. I know everyone is saying Nog has never been finished etc but he will be in this fight its just to much man. I love Nog he has 1 of the biggest hearts in MMA but i think its a terrible matchup for him. And lets be honest he has'nt looked that impressive standing since joining the UFC, big Tim was working him over before getting subbed and Herring had him out, but he let him get up that fight was over and shoulda been his 1st KO loss. If i'm Brock i standup and bang the fight will go wherever Brock wants it to. He will dictate everything in this fight.
  15. I think he should worry about the leg kicks. I think Kenny is better standing up has well very underrated.
  16. I see Kenny winning this fight rather easily. I think Huerta is one of the most overrated fighters in the UFC. If by chance he gets by Kenny highly unlikely BJ is gonna murder him. GSP will win easily by repeatedly taking Fitch down, I SEE A STOPPAGE IN RD3. Brock by 2nd round GNP.
  17. I honestly thought the fight was a draw. Page won rd1 and 4 and Forest 2 and 5. I thought 3 was even. At best Forest shoulda won by 1 point if they gave him rd3. It is pretty pathetic that you can mount someone for over 3 minutes and not finish it. And no way in hell should have Forest won rd1 thats pathetic. Page does'nt deserve a immediate rematch if Chuck or GSP did'nt. He has to win atleast 1 fight probably Wanderlei or Shogun. Chuck will get the next shot with a win againest Rashad.
  18. Huerta to me is severly over rated they babysat the guy forever. I don't see him beating KenFlo to even get a title shot. And anyone who seriously thinks that Ken Flo or Huerta has any chance at all againest BJ has flatout lost control of reality it will be a bloodbath. I'd venture to say the last 2 guys that BJ absolutely destroyed at 155lbs Stevenson and Sherk would beat both at this point in time. Nobody in the world in my opinion can beat a in shape BJ Penn at 155lbs. In reality thier is nothing at 155lbs for BJ but that is his natural weight which is a shame. I want to see a Penn VS GSP rematch although they are my favorite fighters it needs to happen, GSP will have the advantage at 170lbs but it will be a war.
  19. He would knock Calzaghe down if not a KO he would win a decision based on that. Calzaghe was having problems with BHOP's power i'd hate to see him getting hit for 12 rounds by Pavlik.
  20. Chuck will get a title shot with a win i'll bet anything. Wandy is gonna work Jardine and i won't be suprised at all when Tito beats Machidi. Rashad is a damn good fighter who has never lost and his only blemish is a draw with Tito. Tito is a damn good fighter he gets a bad rep because of the Chuck fights but honestly it was just a bad style fight for him. I'd like to see the UFC resign Tito he is a very tough matchup for alot of LHW. And Thiago is getting alittle overrated, Chuck would beat the brakes off that kid..
  21. I would hate it 2 of my favorite fighters. I think Vera could beat Nog for the heavyweight belt right now. Vera had a ton of ring rust and Tim just smothered him. Vera is a very good fighter. Personally i wanna see Chuck fight NOG right now for the heavyweight belt no in between fights. Chuck is a huge marketing tool and the most popular fighter. I think Rampage has his number much like Chuck had Randys. I think that could be Chucks best chance to regain gold. Could Nog take Chuck down or submit him? I don't think so Could Chuck finish Nog they way Herring and big Tim could'nt? I think its very possible Arona holds his chin upright and honestly i don't think he could hold Chuck down even if he got the takedown. Henderson i don't think he can hold Chuck down either but could Chuck end it standing up?? dunno Dan has a good chance has well with a heavy punch. To beat Chuck you gotta do it standing if your not a good striker you really don't have a chance unless you get a pity pat decision like Jardine. Chuck is looking for a title shot period.
  22. Well i said if Anderson won it would be by submission i never ever thought it would be a rear-naked choke. I was thinking a triangle from the bottom. Honestly i'm shocked i will never ever bet money againest Anderson again. I had the chance to cancel the bet before and all thru the 1st rd and did'nt. My birthday is today the 2nd and i'm 60 dollars in the hole, great way to start it  Honestly i think Dan shoulda pressured the whole fight for a takedown, standing with Anderson is a no go he really hurt Dan. Atleast Lutter was smart and did'nt try to keep it standing. Thier is nobody that can beat Anderson unless he goes up in weight and creates a unfair advantage. I'd love to see him fight GSP because of his athletism but i don't think the outcome would be much different.
  23. Damn i can't name just 3.. Penn Florian Lauzon GSP Hendo Chuck Honestly i can't see how all you guys are predicting a Silva KO. Hollywood has never ever been KO'd the guy has fought severly undersized againest very good heavyweights, Page and he took everything Wanderlei had to offer and those were hard shots. I think Hendo wins this fight easy if he just wrestles but he is hardheaded. Does anyone think Hendo does'nt finish the fight if he gets full mount like Lutter had? Hendo is 10 times the wrestler and fighter that Lutter is and Anderson was in trouble that fight. To me this is just a terrible style fight for Anderson. I think Hendo has a better chance of KO'ing Anderson then the opposite. I think this fight will be won 2 ways either Hendo by easy decision or Anderson submitting him from the bottom.
  24. Even in defeat Brock impressed me alot. He dominated that fight and the BS stoppage taking 1pt probably saved Mir who was taking a destructive beating. Brock is gonna be a handful for everybody with more experience, in a rematch I think he wins by destructive ground-n-pound. Brock turned right into that damn knee bar gotta give it to Mir though he pulled it outta his ass. I can't believe Horn fell right into the choke. Nog is a warrior period. WAR NOG
  25. Tyson Griffin sub rd2.... Jeremy Horn sub rd3.... Brock Lesnar GROUND-N-POUND RD2.... Tim Sylvia DECISION....
