I'm not worried. So what was the point of signing Kuzma at all? Why not take back more bad contracts to accumulate draft picks?

Some of these contracts are really terrible. The Houston GM has got to be the worst GM in the league now that Tommy is gone. They will be in line for another top-3 pick next season. Portland has some high end young players and now Dame wants out? As a Wizards fan, I'm jealous of the young talent they've collected while still having Dame. They have a ton of options and they could be really good in a couple years. Might be his best shot at winning if they stay depending on where he goes. PG- Scoot SG- Dame SF- Sharpe PF- Grant C-Nurkic Bench of Simmons, Little, Murray, plus a FA or two with size. Even if they trade Dame, they are gonna contenders in a few years if Scoot lives up to the hype. Tons of young talent.

The Wiz need to accumulate top of the draft talent. Last year at this time no one said Bilal would be top-7 and here we are. Point being, it's tough to know in a year who will be looking good for a top-3 or top-5 pick.

I like Kuz, but I have no idea what the plan is with this team. This team needs to get a top-3 pick next draft.

Dude is gonna be playing 20-25 minutes a night with this new regime. Come off the bench for at least the first half of the year.

I wouldn't start Coulibaly unless he really shows out in preseason. Bring him off the bench and start later in the season.

Listening to Bleav in Wiz live and they had a guy that said Bufkin was a safe pick with a low ceiling.

This makes the 8 pick really interesting. Looking at Coulibaly, Whitmore, Hendricks now. Most of the current wings on this team aren't long for this team anyway. Could use a guy like Hendricks who can be a stretch 4 that plays good defense.

Those pick swaps in 2028 and 2030 are great. between the three trades since the GS trade is technically separate, they’ve collected 8 second round picks, a future first and 4 pick swaps of which only two are likely to be useful.

So now the Beal trade is effectively for Poole, a future first, a bunch of seconds, Shamet and Ryan Rollins.

From my understanding they can't sign and trade a guy for a deal to include draft picks from this draft ahead of time. I think that's cause the negotiating period with free agents hasn't started yet.

The Wiz collected draft assets, have cap space this year, have a big trade exception, and a few potential expiring contracts that could be moved today or at the trade deadline. These are not high quality assets they've had to move given the NTC and the ability for KP to simply opt out last night.

They had a pick 5 slots higher. Oh no!! Jones + 35th in this years draft is better than Morris and the 30th. Also, they may have preferred the 35th in this years deep draft than a late first in next years. There is so much overvaluing of players going on by Wiz that it's kinda shocking. If KP opts out, people would be all mad they didn't get anything for him. Instead they trade him for something and people are made it's not their own perceived value of KP.
