  1. Fox's "Almost Human" is back with new episodes tonight. Fox's "Sleep Hollow" is also back for it's final 3 episodes of Season 1. NBC's "Blacklist" is also back with new episodes tonight. SyFy starts airing the new season of "Lost Girl" and the amercian version of "Being Human" tonight. SyFy also premieres "Bitten" a show about a female werewolf starring Laura Vandervoort tonight. Also, this past Friday "Syfy" aired the first 2 episodes of a show called "Helix" which airs Fridays at 10pm, plus they made available the third episode online. For those who like "The Following" that starts up shortly and also the new season of "24".
  2. Redskins Heach Coach- Position filled. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/01/09/report-jay-gruden-agrees-to-become-redskins-head-coach/
  3. Well, guess not. Of the current 5 openings: 1. Detroit 2. Washington 3. Tennessee 4. Minnesota 5. Cleveland
  4. Looks like Munchak avoid the ax with the Titans, he's definitely on the hot seat for 2014 though. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/01/03/report-mike-munchak-will-remain-coach-of-the-titans/
  5. Lovie Smith is new Bucs coach. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10229285/lovie-smith-tampa-bay-buccaneers-reach-agreement
  6. Bill O'brien is new Texans coach. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000307822/article/bill-obrien-houston-texans-reach-agreement?campaign=Facebook_atl_rosenthal
  7. Those 2 superbowls plus the fact the Giants went from 0-6 to 7-9 gave Tom one more season. The early line for 2014 Hot SEAT: 1. Giants: Tom Coughlin- A third straight non-playoff appearance will doom him. It's playoff or bust in 2014. 2. Boys: Jason Garrret- I think a 4th straight non-playoff appearance will do it for Jason. 3. Dolphins: Assuming Philbin returns but he's definitely on the Hot Seat for 2014. Playoffs or else. 4. Jets- Rex saved his ass for 2014 but no playoffs in 14, no more Rex. 5. Steelers- They are patient bunch but 3 years of no playoffs might do Tomlin in. Playoffs or else in 2014. 6. Falcons- A second straight non-playoff appearance will put Smith on the hot seat. Raiders- Allen- still awaiting word if he will be back or not. He will be on the hot seat in 2014 should he return.
  8. Well, Black Monday truely has been Black Monday. 5 openings in the last 15 hours. There's still room for 2-3 more.
  9. Vikings make a change. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/12/30/vikings-make-it-official-fire-leslie-frazier/
  10. Well, Rex Ryan is returning to the Jets. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/12/29/jets-announce-rex-ryan-will-be-back/ No Black Monday for him.
  11. Jets have missed playoffs 3 straight years; so that's why he was listed as a possibility but maybe he's done enough to come back. Actually, a surprise firing could be happening with the Browns? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/12/29/speculation-swirls-about-chudzinski-in-cleveland/ Still hoping to go to bed tonight with Shanny having been fired.
  12. Will Black Monday start a little early like right after a team finishes their game today. Black Sunday would be even better; especially in the case of one Washington Redskins.
  13. If you are going to sample Doctor Who you need to sample both eras. The Modern era from 2005: Series 1 thru 7. The Classic era: 63-89: Hulu/Neflix has a good sample of classic era doctors. The show did celebrate it's 50th anniversary last month; so one should be exposed to both era of the show. A pic of the latest doctor; who made an appearance at the end of the Christmas episode: "The Time of The Doctor". His first episodes in Series 8 will start airing in September SyFy has new programming in a couple of weeks again. Helix looks interesting. 24 fans should be rejoicing as the new season of 24 should be starting soon also.
  14. Saw "Grudge Match" and "Saving Mr. Banks" and "Anchorman 2" and a liked them all.
  15. Well, this bump will fade away after the game.
  16. Saw "Catching Fire" on Friday and liked it but I actually liked the first one better. Saw "Dallas Buyers Club" on Sunday and like that one also. Finally, saw a screening of "The Day of the Doctor" - the 50th Annivesary episode of the British TV show: Doctor Who and liked it. More so as a stand alone episode than an episode celebrating the 50th episode.
  17. You have to meet the new requirements; so if it doesn't, chances are whatever plan that does goes up. This will all shake out over the next year. If it's as bad as the Talipublicans say it is; they will cruise to historic victories in 2014. If the law just needs fine tuning; the the it will be more of the same. I say wait and see what happens.
  18. Saw "Captain Phillips", "The Fifth Estate" and "Escape Plan" last 3 days and I liked all 3 of them.
  19. Saw Machette Kills. Loved it, even more than the first one; even though it did have it's silly moments. There will be a third movie and you'll have to watch Machette Kills to see why.
  20. The premiere episode of "The Blacklist" looked pretty good. It airs Mondays, at 10pm on NBC.
  21. Looks like NBC may have finally done a TV remake right. Hulu has the pilot episode for the "Ironside Remake" with Blair Underwood in the title role that Raymond Burr played in. It was pretty good. Official series premiere is Oct. 2nd.
  22. Best movie of the year? No, but it was definitely dark and intense and I guess I should've expected how the movie finished but it still surprised me.
  23. Interresting take on the legendary tale. I'll see how Sleepy Hollow progresses. Next week will be the big premiere week for most of the 5 Networks shows. Fox is airing some new episodes/shows this week.
