bobzmuda Posted March 2, 2005 Share Posted March 2, 2005 If anyone, Smoot. Pierce was likely the engine behind last year's brilliant defensive perforamnce. Pierce will get a nice offer in FA that the Skins should be able to match, but he won't get a massive offer like Smoot will likely get. Now combine that with the likelihood that Williams believes he can get similar production to what Smoot provided last from a much less expensive player (either FA or non-first round draft pick), if it were up to me I'd like the Skins to match Pierce's offer and let Smoot take the payday somewhere else.
