Johnny_Blaze
He was a great player when he played, but i dont think he can stay up with todays nfl at his age.... I hope he comes on as a coach someday or something to that extent. Blaze

BD
Yikes. No doubt he could play as a kick returner. Don't know if he can still elevate and cover, but yikes.

ECU-ALUM
He looked good out there...seeing Marino hit him in stride...it was great....but I don't think he'd do it. He went out on his terms. next stop for Darrell: Canton, Oh.

Mr. S
a coach, we have an awesome defensive staff, but maybe he could help out in some capacity.
VaSkinsNut
Those blessed with super human speed and agility don't always make the best coaches. Just food for thought.
Walking Deadman
Forget that, Let's get him in the HOF and Monk too......... But, if I could have #28 or the current Ravens nickle (#37). I'd choose DG in a heartbeat.
Johnny_Blaze
wow i just watched the clips that Zeb posted, I retract my statement, I still think Green could play in todays NFL. blaze
Raub
The man is a genetic freak. He'll be 45 y/o soon and he still looks like he can play. He's Mr. Redskin in my book.
Joeythetapeworm
Of course, I'm not saying this would be a good idea, but I have to think that Green could still be an effective #4 corner. He was a nickel when he retired, right? I'll also second the idea that it might not be a bad idea to bring him in as an assistant Defensive Backs coach or something along those lines. andyman
Our hearts are in the right place.....but three different sets of coaches can't be wrong. DG was fading fast in 2000.

I was yelling like a school girl for him last night when I watched that show. I especially liked the way everyone was all buddy-buddy with Irvin EXCEPT Darrell. I don't think I saw those two speak once during that show. A couple of passes defensed, a touchdown at 45 years old burning all of them. The only one I was impressed with besides him was Young. He could still be playing.
@DCGoldPants
he did look pretty good on the NFL Alumni challenge..... but even when Suzy asked him about coming out of retirement...he joked "I just came out of the game....wait.....isn't this a real game?!?"
