I dont know what to think of the Redskins ???

First your team loses 5 in a row. Then it wins 4. Its still anybodies Division, and hats off to your club for climbing back into it. Marty is ok afterall. I think the Eagles will beat the Skins at the Vet. Im hoping for a romp and an end to your pipedreams and the beginning of ours.Im hoping the Eagles are ready for the next level. Eagles want to win the Superbowl. Who cares if some Eagles smoke weed from another bowl. Remember Dexter Manley, and LT? Both on SB Teams. Now its the Eagles turn to go to the Dance. 2002 is the Year of the Eagle... Good Luck Skins on Sunday, may the hungrier team win without controversy. 40-10 would be nice. smile.gif

Hell hath frozen. Pigs hath flown. And an Eagle fan brings kind words to a rival board!!! laugh.gif

Thanks Lou. Good to have you aboard. We're still not sure what to make of this season yet, but it's much more fun not knowing now than it was a month ago. Your Eagles are looking decent, though I don't see them making the Super Bowl. Gotta beat the good teams as well as the bad teams. You won't be getting gifts from weak teams in the post-season.

By the way, you're welcome for Thrash and Mitchell. smile.gif

Ummmmm, TheChosenOne, I was making a joke about your QB situation that you might as well have Ryan Leaf, not that I actually thought he is on your team.

Man, you are a little slow, that's allright, bkuz its expected of someone who is a believer in the Redskins and the QB situation.

I'm usually pretty laid back around here, except when it comes to dip$hit eagles fans. You guys make boys fans seem like freaking rocket scientists.

You know what you're going to be thinking about the Skins sunday evening? "GD it, those guys don't F around. I think they're gonna sweep us."

You guys think the G-men hit? Wait and see. We are now officially on a roll.

A new 56 is heading your way and that "chip is gonna stay on our shoulders".

Next.

Please don't allow your embarassing lack of comedic talent prevent you from admitting you can't construct a joke. Or was it just a pathetic attempt to cover up a gross lack of knowledge? And please don't pretend that was inserted sarcastically, because it just wasn't.

Your second comment barely deserves a response, due to the fact that it comes absent of any discussion by my part of the Redskins QB situation. If it was an attempt at "smack", it's time to pack up and go home, cause you don't have the skillz. If you actually want to discuss football, that's cool, hang around.

Lou-

I don't think any of us truly know what to think of this team long-term, except for the fact that the last 3 games plus 1 quarter have us believing that the future is bright. It may have started too late for us this year, but where we are is a hell of a lot better than 0-5 just one month ago!

If you check my playoff analysis thread, you'll see that I view our two games with the Eagles as the best measurement of our playoff chances, given that I believe we need to win the division to get into the playoffs. If we sweep, we have a good chance of winning the division. If we split, we need some help, as well as a lot of success in the games we play. If we lose both, we're out and waiting 'til next year.

What's fun about Redskins-Eagles games of course is that no matter what each team's record is, the games are always hard fought and close.

Wlcome aboard Lou.

We have a healthy big interior line, S Davis instead of Murrell,Westy to keep your corners busy, a mobile QB with a cannon for an arm and Lavar won't be knocked out of the game during a special teams so McNabb should be aware.

And of course we are playing on near grass instead of that astrocr@p

I see a hard fought game and I do like our chancescaveman.gif

Bring It On!!

I think you Skins haters should check out this board. It tells a true story of other teams fans talking smack then losing.

Come read a story

Well, I don't know if the Eagles are ready to ascend to the heights of a Super Bowl victory but at least they got one monkey off their backs by beating the Giants, or slipping by them the case might be, 10-9 early on. smile.gif

From what I have seen the Eagles are a good team. They are not a great team. Staley, Thrash and Mitchell right now are a competent set of skill players surrounding McNabb but clearly are not as talented as the players surrounding Kurt Warner, Brett Favre or Rich Gannon right now.

Mitchell will improve, but as with Gardner, it is hard to depend on a rookie in big games to produce.

This game should be a physical ballgame.

If the Eagles give the Redskins some respect during the week and come in attentive, they should win the game at home.

If they come in and think the game is an automatic "W" and don't deliver a 100% effort then they could be in some trouble.

You can throw out the first 5 games for the Redskins. The club now bears little resemblance to the one that was embarrassed the first few weeks when the players and Marty were at odds.

Davis is right now the best back in the East and the Redskins' line has been able to get him some nice holes the past 4 or 5 weeks. He is climbing the NFL rankings in yardage with each passing week.

If the Eagles hold Davis in check and don't commit turnovers, they should win the game 21-14.

If Davis gets room to run and the Redskins take advantage of an Eagle mistake or two then the Skins should win say 24-19.

Either way it's going to be close.

40-10? I don't know guy.......this isn't Dallas coming to town again laugh.gif

Somebody please tell me the last time the Eagles beat the Skins by more than 7 points!!!

Or...how many games in the last few years have been decided by a TD or less....more like 3 points.

Nobody is blowing anybody out this weekend.

We will be hurt without Ben Coleman though. That's going to suck.

Bufford, exactly what do you know about Ben Coleman?

I can't find any sources verifying that Coleman was even on the team's postgame injury report.

Banks, Lockett, Bates, Campbell, Smith...............

those were the names I remember seeing.

As far as I can see Coleman will be starting Sunday in Philly. smile.gif
