Thiebear
Isnt the 2nd and 4th option the same thing? (the poll on the left)... You're the Redskins GM: What do you do? Stand pat Shop for bargain DL help in 6/1 FA market Aggressively pursue top rung pass rusher in FA Wait for cut-downs to shop for bargains Other (comments) View Results
jrfriedm
Yea, I would say they're the same. However to answer the question, I would probably stand pat, unless some unexpected DL monster is realeased, and could be gotten at a reasonable price. miragv
As the Redskins GM I would not sign any 'starters'. The only players I would sign are young players with potential, meaning players who have the size, speed, etc. but just need some coachin' up, and only for a league minimum. We need to get players ready to replace the superstars we may have to let go if we get into some cap trouble
Om
Not quite the same, I don't think. #2 goes to June 1 FA, #4 goes to cut-downs once training camps start. That was the idea, anyway.
TC4
Have GREAT SEATS at FedEx for all the games!!!!
Mr. S
find more raw potential, we could definitely use some on our d-line. Everywhere else seems pretty decent.
jschlesi
There will be guys like Joe Johnson, Hugh Douglas. Question is who much they will cost us.
bulldog
the Redskins have improved themselves across the board, the final piece to the puzzle so to speak is a pass rushing DE. the Skins should be looking at the health of Tony Brackens, Joe Johnson and others who could help us at reasonable cost. Brackens and Johnson are both 32 and have had injury problems. I don't think either is going to get on outsized contract. I don't think the Redskins will stand pat. If the team was really looking at 2005 instead of 2004 there would have been no reason to sign Michael Barrow at MLB. That signing and others shows the team is indeed going to try and win in 2004
Grinder
Right now I'd look at June 1 cuts and hope to find a solid stop-gap player for 1 year so we can again not draft DL next year and do this all over again. Oh wait, I'm the GM.
kappaluvacee
I would bring in Douglas; but only if he comes at the league minimum.
