carlsbadd
Vincent to Join Bills A third Eagle has flown the coup. Comcast SportsNet has learned that cornerback Troy Vincent has agreed to terms with the Buffalo Bills. The deal, expected to be for six years and $20 million, including a $3.6 million bonus, should be announced shortly. The 12-year veteran spent eight seasons with the Eagles after signing as a free agent in 1996. Last season, Vincent tied safety Michael Lewis for the team lead with three interceptions and earned his fifth career trip to the Pro Bowl. Vincent, who turns 33 in June, joins Duce Staley and Carlos Emmons as the free agents to have signed elsewhere this season. Emmons, who signed with the Giants, was the first to go. Staley joined the Steelers last week. Of the Eagles' four primary free agents, only Vincent's partner in the secondary, Bobby Taylor, remains unsigned. According to Taylor's agent Jason Medlock, the Seahawks remain Taylor's first choice, followed by the Bengals and most recently the Redskins. Medlock also indicated his client has not ruled out the Eagles, but the two sides have not spoken since the end of the season.

Riggo-toni
Only a $3.6m bonus!!! That's a bargain for the NFC East's best CB, even if he is 33.

Exactly what I was thinking. The Bills got a hell of a deal. Wasn't Cincy a likely landing spot for Taylor?
DUSTINMFOX
"and most recently the Redskins" I haven't heard anything about this.......have you guys???
carlsbadd
I would love to have Taylor, he has some size and could be converted to nickel. I am not sure about the injury he had last year of if he is fully recovered.
Skeletor The Invincible
Look, here is a tip for you guys, if there is a FA that is a relative team need, we'll be included in the list of potential suitors. Why? Because we're the friggin Redskins, and we like FAs.
Posse81
We are still looking for a third corner, so I guess its possible. I would think that Taylor would want to start though.

thinker
No problem if Taylor wants to start. Gibbs will just guarantee him the starting job. :rotflmao:
riggins44
I don't understand the Eagles FO. They sign Kearse, but let their current players leave. They don't have that much depth.

They will build through the draft and the coach will tell everyone" we'll be fine" It seems the fans tend to agree with this way of thinking. As much as the Redskins are critized wait untill the Eagles fall from grace this season. There will be a feeding frenzy from the media and thier fans. Old Glory
According to the article in ESPN today, the redskins have allready contacted Bobby Taylor and are trying to clear cap room to get him. this would make our secondary one of the strongest in the league if we could get Taylor. But do we have the pass rush to maximize our great secondary???
HeHateMe
Taylor is visiting Dallas tomorrow. Hes on record as saying he would love to play there. Dont be surprised if hes with the Boys by the end of the week.
Oldskool
Jabba the Len is saying that we are looking at Taylor and are “scrambling” for cap room. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=1760318 The Bengals immediately turned their attention to Vincent's former teammate in Philly, veteran cornerback Bobby Taylor, but seemed to be making little headway in attempting to fill its need at the position. In fact, league sources indicated that Taylor is suddenly being wooed by the Washington Redskins, who were scrambling Monday to create cap room. Chief skin
I thimk picking up Taylor would be a mistake and a waste of cash, the guy is a wuss he does not like to hit or get hit. Living here in the Philly burbs I have seen plenty of him and I am not impressed

You'd be right if he was the NFC East's best corner. I saw the entire Eagles season last year and he definately is not the Vincent of old. He has without doubt lost a full step. He's still good, but that is the extent of it. Not too mention you didn't see much drop off when the Eagles where without him for a few games... NavyDave
The only thing I thought taylor could do was move to safety but even that would be stoopid You pass on him unless you really want him as the nickle corner then you draft S Taylor.
