That's probally to keep others who are not Jets fans(a.k.a. non-morons) from joining

Good thing I did last year :D

Well, you think that's funny, check this out..............

They had a thread there called "the deadskins and the cap". They have a GIF from last year that is still all the rage that flashes between "Screw Snyder!!!" and "Deadskins Suck!!!". Someone had a post where all they did was that GIF posted 5 times, so I reponded with this:

"Typical Jets fans

Instead of worrying about your own inept FO, you rant on and on about the Redskins

'BOO HOO HOO DUH!!!! DA REDSKINS BE IS SUCKS!!!! WHY CAN'T WE BEZ LIKEZ DEM DUH!!!!'

No wonder most of us laugh at you all so damn much"

When someone in a later post commented about my inability to type in English based on the "BOO HOO HOO" remark, I explaned that I was simply speaking to them in "NYC English"

I have sooooooooo much fun over there sometimes

Look guys I'm asking for a solid here.

Somebody needs to cut and paste what they're talking about for the rest of us. I know it's a pain in the ass, but I used to do it from time to time before they got scared and cut us off.

I miss my fershmugin Gangreen forum laugh in the morning!!

Somebody do me a solid...pleeeeeaaassseee!!!

Some thoughts occurr to me, reading this thread. (And I knew you all wanted to hear them).

I'll be a lot happier when a bunch of teams (preferrably NFC East teams) hate us because thay're tired of us beating them, rather than some Jets fans having issues about something that happened in the offseason (and that was their own fault).

As to the gramatical skills and general intelect displayed in GangGreen, I first have to remind myself that that label isn't applied to an Eagles board, although I do suppose it's possible there are similarities. (Q: What's the difference between the Jets and the Eagles? A: A trophy. (one)."

As to them locking down their board: What good is a discussion group where only one side is allowed? Granted, I don't go visit other teams boards, because frankly, I don't care what they think about us, but I have no problem at all with intelligent discussion with other team's fans. (I have a simple criterion for determining the intelligence of other team's fans: If they come to ExtremeSkins, then they're usually worth listening to.)

Hi all

Pats fan here. I have a name there and I love those Jets fans. I am a troll but I am a subliminal troll. I try to needle them to death.

But you have to love their passion. After such a crappy season, it is great to see so many of them there, caring about their team.

The GangGreen topic, unedited and lengthy. Read at own risk for those who can't access their board.

Obviously their credibility of knowing the game takes a big hit when you call solid players like JMAC & Barton camp fodder.

They can only get excited about signing people who have big names and overpaying them at that. On top of that they haven't replenished their depth in the last 2 years because they never have any draft picks, nice future you have ahead of you (LOL)

The spendskins have a 2 year window to win it all before that collection of overpaid dung is dismantled.

But if you see Joe Gibbs would you tell him he is needed by his Championship Driver immediately and also his other driver who forgot his winning ways?

Tell him the Rookie who beat Tony 2 weeks in a row for 2nd spot and reduced Tony to drive recklessly while forgetting about the safety of 35 drivers directly in back of them on the last 5 laps to the finish ain't cool.

We all knew this would happen as soon as Gibbs left. Nobody expected it to come from a 23 year old Rookie from a different auto racing sanction to shock the Nascar World with his amazing skill and composure against the very dangerous vets.

I'm a big Gibbs fan. Good luck I don't need to tell you he's the best.

Wow this is quite humorus, as far as us cursing at each other it's all good. A whole lot better than dressing up like somebody's dead grandmother and putting a pig's nose on my face to show the world how stupid we look. Give it up Snyder should just sell your joke of a team and buy a real team like the Jets. He'd still have a better chance of winning than he does with your over-payed bunch of washups. In fact he'd have a better chance of winning if he suited up himself. I'll spell it out for you one more time .....with the amount of spending your team does and the amount of talent they sign I would hide my head in shame rather than talk trash. Then again if the Jets had Mel Kiper's 1985 Mock Draft as their lineup I would feel pretty good about winning 5 games in a season.

QUOTE (Booya2k2 @ Mar 7 2004, 07:28 PM)

Not only is the hailredskins.com site ugly... look at their quality of posts.

"The New York Jets have announced the signing of free agent LB Eric Barton (Raiders). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The New York Jets have announced the signing of free agent CB David Barrett (Cardinals). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Wow... I feel bad for the Cessnas...

Lose out on Washington and Winfield and they get these two guys? I mean isnt it a little early to be picking up camp fodder??"

"LOL I know what you mean by feeling sorry for them... we raided them last year and now they can only afford to sign garbage like this."

These idiots don't even know who Barton is.

Maybe you don't think highly of the quality of posts over there at hailredskins because their administrators and mods don't allow members to curse one another out with wreckless abandon the way you guys do over here.

u dork!!!!!!!! JUST have ont thing to say, we still had one win more than you hahahahahaha and u had a sorry division and still finished ****ty..

Redskins Take the Air Out of the Jets, 27-20

By Mark Maske

Washington Post Staff Writer

Monday, September 27, 1999; Page D1

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Sept. 26 – The Washington Redskins knew there would come a day when their offense couldn't sprint up and down the field virtually unimpeded. They knew an afternoon would come when an opponent would find a way to stop quarterback Brad Johnson and running back Stephen Davis, and they would have to make some big plays in the fourth quarter in order to win.

That day arrived today, and the Redskins responded in style. They trailed the desperate New York Jets by four points in the late stages, but did enough right and got enough breaks down the stretch to escape Giants Stadium with a 27-20 victory in front of 78,161.

"This is a statement game for us," Johnson said. "It's a huge win. . . . It shows we can win in the fourth quarter."

The Redskins (2-1) won for a second straight week in this stadium on the heels of their fourth-quarter collapse in their season-opening overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys at home. A triumph over the Carolina Panthers next Sunday at Redskins Stadium would permit the Redskins to take a 3-1 record into their bye week – a far cry from last season, when the Redskins were 0-7 when their bye arrived.

They scored 50 points here last Sunday in overwhelming the New York Giants, but they called this victory more significant because they found a way to win a game that was a toss-up in the fourth quarter.

"We haven't been able to do that for four years," wide receiver Michael Westbrook said. "That's a sign of maturity. This was bigger than last week, and now next week is even bigger."

Said Coach Norv Turner: "This is the kind of game I expected. . . . I really thought our guys responded. To me, it's a team win. We won it in the fourth quarter."

The Jets (0-3) took a 14-13 lead into the final period and increased their lead to 17-13 on John Hall's 37-yard field goal with 8 minutes 10 seconds to play. But the Redskins, aided by a pair of pass-interference penalties on Jets cornerback Ray Mickens as he tried to cover wide receiver Albert Connell, drove 80 yards for the go-ahead touchdown. Davis's four-yard run put them in front, 20-17, with 4:11 remaining.

Later, defensive end Kenard Lang stripped the ball from Jets quarterback Rick Mirer, leading to Davis's third touchdown run of the day – and eighth of the season – and a 27-17 advantage with 2:21 to go. An instant-replay reversal took away a touchdown catch from Jets wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson and left New York with only a 34-yard field goal from Hall with 1:45 to play.

Larry Centers recovered an onside kick by the Jets, but the Redskins had to survive one more scare. Davis lost the ball on a run for a first down in the final minute, and Jets cornerback Aaron Glenn scooped up the would-be fumble and raced to the end zone.

But the officials ruled – correctly, according to television replays – that Davis was down before he fumbled, and the Redskins sealed the victory with one kneel-down by Brad Johnson.

"We had some bad things happen, but we never gave up," Redskins running back and kick returner Brian Mitchell said. "When you win a close game you have to really fight for, it means a little bit more. It's a little bit sweeter."

The Redskins pushed their record above .500 for the first time since they ended the 1997 season with an 8-7-1 mark. They've won road games in back-to-back weeks for the first time since early in the '96 season and they further dissipated the Super Bowl hopes that the Jets had when the season began.

"You make your own luck," Jets linebacker Bryan Cox said. "We're not going to beg for calls. We've got to make plays. . . . We had a chance to win the game, and we didn't come up with a stop."

Davis had his second three-touchdown game of the season, and now has three more rushing touchdowns than he had in his previous three years in the NFL. He ran for 93 yards on 24 carries today.

But he averaged only 3.9 yards per carry, and the Jets made things difficult for a Redskins offense that entered today ranked first in the NFL. Johnson completed 17 of 28 throws for 241 yards and no interceptions, but didn't have a touchdown pass. The Redskins had only 13 points in the first 55 minutes after totaling 85 points and 899 yards in their first two games. They finished today with 333 yards, four fewer than the Jets.

The Redskins insisted the Jets didn't do anything unexpected on defense. "We just weren't making plays early, and we made them late," Davis said.

On the Redskins' go-ahead drive, Johnson went to Connell as he worked against his former Texas A&M teammate, Mickens. Completions of 13, 4 and 15 yards got the Redskins to their 47, then the first interference call against Mickens accounted for 35 yards to the New York 18. On third and three from the 11, Mickens was penalized for interfering with Connell again to advance the ball to the 4. Davis lunged across the goal line on the next play.

After defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson recovered the fumble forced by Lang, a Johnson-to-Connell completion on third and five from the 16 – with the Redskins declining another interference call on Mickens – produced nine yards. Davis ran left for a touchdown on the next play.

The Jets got an 81-yard kickoff return by Kevin Williams, who was caught from behind by Redskins rookie cornerback Champ Bailey. On second down, Keyshawn Johnson beat Bailey on a post pattern and momentarily caught Mirer's pass in the end zone. But the ball came loose just as Johnson landed, and just before he and Bailey ran into the goal post. The officials originally signaled touchdown, but changed the call after checking the replay and ruled the pass incomplete because Johnson lost it before he had both feet on the ground.

"They just made the right calls," Davis said.

Mirer also threw an incompletion on third down, and the Jets had to settle for a field goal. The Redskins – after Centers's onside kick recovery and Davis's near fumble – had survived.

"This was a huge win, back to back in New York," Brad Johnson said. "Winning is a cure-all. . . . Stat-wise, it was not my best game, but I felt like I made some plays when we needed them. I'm excited about this team. I'm excited about where we are and where we can go."

Redskins Nip Jets 16-13 in Season-Opening Thriller

By Steve Ginsburg

LANDOVER (Reuters) - John Hall kicked a 33-yard field goal with five seconds remaining as the Washington Redskins christened the NFL regular-season with a 16-13 victory over the revenge-minded New York Jets Thursday.

Redskins quarterback Patrick Ramsey set up the game-winning drive with a 24-yard run down the left sideline to the Jets' 31 with 1:27 left.

Three runs by Ladell Betts pushed the ball to the New York 14-yard line to set up Hall's game-clincher.

The Jets were hoping to make the Redskins pay for signing four of their key free agents during the offseason.

One of those free agents was Hall, who was perfect on all three field goal attempts, including a 50-yarder in the opening period.

"I don't want to make a big deal out of it," Hall said of beating his former team.

"They're a good team. I have a lot of friends on that team and I have a lot of respect for everybody over there.

"I love those guys to death but I'm on a different team now."

Trailing 13-10 with less than 11 minutes left in the fourth quarter -- and managing just one first down in the second half -- the Jets got a break when John Abraham forced a Ramsey fumble and Jason Ferguson recovered at the Redskins' 43-yard line.

TIED SCORE

The Jets, however, failed to mount a drive and had to settle for a 41-yard Doug Brien field goal to knot the score at 13-13 with 8:13 left.

"When you get it tied up like that, you hope you're the team to make the play at the end. But we couldn't quite do that," Jets coach Herman Edwards said.

Ramsey finished with 17 completions in 23 attempts for 185 yards and a touchdown with one interception, while 39-year-old counterpart Vinny Testaverde, subbing for injured starter Chad Pennington, completed 15-of-24 for just 105 yards and no touchdowns.

"We came through when we had to and that is what is important," Ramsey said.

"We turned it on and we able to get down there at the end ... We are very excited to come away with a win."

Hall's 50-yard field goal on the game's opening drive gave the Redskins a 3-0 lead but the Jets came right back with a 14-play, 72-yard drive, taking a 7-3 lead on LaMont Jordan's touchdown dive over the top from the one-yard line.

Washington took the ensuing kickoff and capped a 14-play 74-yard drive with a four-yard touchdown pass from Ramsey to a leaping Darnerien McCants in the right corner of the endzone to take a 10-7 lead.

Hall's second field goal of the half, a 22-yard effort with 2:41 left before intermission gave the Redskins a 13-7 lead.

I think this is enough to stop talking about the New York Jets.
