This is a team of QUITTERS I hate to disagree with Darrell Green but I think he is just plain in denial of the situation (he really cares and just can't handle what is going on). I am DISGUSTED, NEXT HOME GAME IS CAROLINA WE COULD BE 0-5 MAYBE 1-4 (IF WE CAN BEAT EQUALLY AS BAD COW$HIT$)This mess will take years to clean up after all it took 7 LOOONNNGG years of Turner's incompetence coupled with Richie Rich and his hair brained schemes and finally Marty and his entire family show up for a HUGE PAY DAY HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!!!!!!! bulldog Posted October 1, 2001 Share Posted October 1, 2001 the Redskins/Cowboys game in two weeks is a gut check for this team. it has taken some major hits and will probably be dismembered in NY this Sunday. At 0-4 a win at Dallas is almost necessary to avoid completely falling into the abyss. a win is a win right now. and if at any point the Redskins are serious about not wanting to be embarrassed as they were the past 3 weeks, their next appearance on MNF is the best place to start. the cowboys have less talent than the Redskins and have been stung by as much bad luck with the bounce of the ball so far. if the Redskins go out and lay down against Dallas on national tv, we will know a couple of things. One, this rebuilding is likely to be even more intensive this offseason than last. Art Posted October 1, 2001 Share Posted October 1, 2001 Vermeil is hardly an unbiased voice. This team has talent that has performed in this league. It's now not performing. This team isn't, and no one has made the claim that it was, a Super Bowl level team. But, this team can win games and should certainly be winning games or at the very least be competitive. Right now we're not. Right now, we've got mass confusion and problems. When it starts to turn, we'll all see that together. Right now though, this is as bad a football team as one will ever see, despite the fact that there's talent on the roster at very key spots. ------------------ Doom is in the box.
