Shotgunner
Hey guys with all the talk about Brunell, I'm wondering what other QB's are available if this doesn't go thru. thoughts ???:applause:
bubba9497
If Garcia is cut by the 49ers, or Couch by the Browns could be a smart pick up to be our #
NavyDave
Easy grab Jeff Blake. Then work to turn the defense and special teams into a monster Heck the pokes made the playoffs with Quincy carter
citigent
i think couch if cut could be a good pickup
clubisyohankovic
I agree with Navy Dave -- Jeff Blake would work, provided he was cheap. Too many other wholes to fill to mess with a high-priced backup qb.
TankRizzo
I'd be more than content w/ Griese. he did horrible in Miami because their O-line is garbage, I think he could do fine here (as our backup that is). Jeff Blake seems good on paper, but I've heard he can be a malcontent and he wants to be a starter.
WM_Marylander
I hear Mark Rypien is looking for a job.
Heavy Jumbo
I think Gibbs would take Blake over Couch if it came down to that. Blake is more of a veteran than Couch, and that's what Gibbs would go for.
KingGibbs
I am sure you will laugh, but Gus would be my preference.
WM_Marylander
Gus isn't a laughing matter, he'd be a decent fit, and wouldn't be that expensive. Though, I'm quite sure he's ended much of his chance for returning here with that headbutt.
dstephens
I'm not laughing KingGibbs! If the price was right...............?
GB81
I thought that if Ramsey was going to be his guy, Gibbs might bring in Neil O'Donnell to be a backup. Gibbs was never afraid to bring in someone on the older side. Now, it sure seems like Gibbs doesn't think Ramsey is his guy...so that brings up other ideas...like (gulp) Kurt Warner...and some others.
Skins11
Hey Gus would be a solid backup! Couch won't be available I think because they seemed to be favoring him over Holcomb. In theory, Griese would be ok, but I really wouldn't want to see him on the field in a Redskins jersey. Jeff Garcia would be solid! I wonder what the niners are gonna do.... it's either keeping TO or Garcia, or neither. Are they trying to throw downfield more this year? If so they'll go with Rattay.
