Guest The Angry Buddha
Well maybe the Tossed Salad Man will have some luck straightening out Mr. Connell... ------------------ <IMG SRC="http://home.earthlink.net/~wahoofamily/flag.gif" border=0>
indyskinsfan
AC tell me it aint' the pipe man? Dam* what a waste of a contract. All I want is one tenth of what you should have earned, hey and I won't even steal it dude. Of course you are innocent, until proven guilty, in court of law. Oh check the janitor (does he have on a janitor's uniform, but is also wearing cleats?? )
VoR
Overheard some Saints fan conjecturing that Connell has a gambling problem.

Fitz
It makes you wonder how many Redskins are saying, "So that's what happened to all that cash I lost in the locker room..." I only hope he hit Deion a few times [ by Fitzman on December 29, 2001.]
Larry
Maybe I'm just one of those "conspiracy theory" types, but some of the things here do make me wonder if there's a more innocent explanation. The story says he took the money, then gave it back. That could mean he gave it back after he got caught, but it could also mean that it's somebodys idea of a rookie joke. (Yeah, I understand that such jokes are a lot more common in spring training than they are in week 15. I'm just tossing out a possible alternate). It also seems to me, you don't call the cops about an internal issue unless there's some other factor involved. I can't understand doing this, but not cutting him. (Maybe they're planning on suspending him for a year, then claiming that one-fifth of his bonus shouldn't count against the cap). (I could also see a case where the team reasoned like I did, and planned on cutting him then calling the cops, but Duce didn't like the idea of keeping things quiet. And, as the victiom, he's certainly got that right).
Brave
I agree that WHEN he returned the money would have a lot to do with convincing me as to whether it was a prank or not. Did he return it immediately or only after being identified on film? I'm all for a good prank. IMHO though, taking money from someone's wallet and car is not a prank. It's a theft. Hiding someone's shoes is a prank. Icy-Hot in the jock-strap is a prank. Locking someone in the training room is a prank. Taking over $4000 from someone on two occasions is grounds for an a$$-whipping! I wonder what Connell's reaction would have been had the same "prank" happened to him. bulldog
Connell is a bum, plain and simple. His problems in NO as well as those of Mike Sellers in Cleveland make you think there was some method to letting these players go. Certainly Albert and Mike didn't start acting this way overnight. There must have been some warning signs about their lack of stability. When we look back on it I think we can say that James Thrash was really the only player we let go in the offseason that would have been a real asset for the money on the 2001 Redskins. Everyone else was replaced by players that were as capable if not more so. And that goes to show that some of the players we were paying good money to here in the past were simply overrated. skinsfan44
There are two things in this world you do not mess with: a man's woman and a man's money. Both will get your a$$ kicked. And one more thing, your season tickets to the REDSKINS!!!
