He would be in charge of finding a qualified GM, and whoever that is will hire the next head coach. So Snyder would hire Tucker to do his job? Snyder, someone who's got a history of meddling and being petty, would just hire Tucker for all the big decisions? Okay....
Riggo-toni
If there's one thing the last twenty years has proven, it's that El Dano has no discerning eye for talent...or even competency for that matter. A guy that plucked Vinny Bugeyes off the unemployment line (twice), and then replaced him with Brucifer isn't going to find, let alone hire, the next Ron Wolf. Offering Spurrier $5m a year and subsequently refusing to return Beathard's calls because his agent asked for incentives to be added to a measly 500k offer should be proof enough that Lord Farquaad doesn't understand the necessity or even utility of a qualified GM. He would rather flip accountability on its head and give an old coach full control over personnel, or undermine less established coaches by saddling them with a lousy roster. Snyder is a typical marketer - he makes decisions based on impulse, and is typically only as smart as the last guy he has talked to. We need a team President, similar to the role ex-Redskin Mark Murphy has in Green Bay, to hire a GM.
