Apologies for spelling, typing and paraphrasing. I don't do shorthand. Sides, Phat will do a better job than me anyway........

:silly:

Congratulations: Always better to win than loose expecially the way we have lost recently. Q: All time high in rushing attempts for you? A: NO. Had a few more in florida. Weather was brutal. Wind and cold. No turnovers. Runningbacks and recievers....gosh I think Recievers caught everything. Q: Ramsey on IR. Going to sign a back up or comfortable with hasselback and Hamden.....S.S. Patrick is out for the year. Will have sugery sometime this week .Specialists in North Carolina. Q: am I reading too much into statement about "more than likely?" A: Well anything could happen. He may not be fully healed ect. Patrick is the starter and has not been outplayed to lose it. Q: Sounds like open competition for QB. S.S. Didn't go that far. Patrick is the starter but certainly there is always competition for every position sooner or later. Not bugged by Bruce talking on cell phone because he didn't know at time and Bruce was out of game. Dallas game biggest game. Q: Any truth to Glazer report about cell phones and beepers going off during meetings. S.S. No. They are asked to turn them off. It was the security guards that went off, Tony Spinozza, (sp), and he was emabarrased. Going to keep playing to win games. Taylor Jacobs. Maybe next preseason will get chance. Everybody is healthy. Kudos to Bernard Halsey. Said he really played well. Q. running out or running backs. Simon? We signed him and he will play. Ladell could be out. Arm still hurt and Trung questionable. S.S. will carry same number of running backs. Loves players like Chad Morton. Good to se him break a couple of big runs. Q: How much will cold weather effect his style of play. S.S. Yesterday the weather was bad. hard to throw in catch in that.........Depends on game. We always shoot for balance but we don't always do that. Will do whatever it takes to win. Q: Baseball hat over knit cap? Seemed to be the thing to go with.

Pt. 1

Q: You ran the ball 40 something times yesterday – isn’t that a little high?

A: No, I’ve run the ball that much before in nice weather; the weather was so brutal yesterday so we had to run the ball more. The best thing was we had no turnovers and got 3.

Q: Ramsey is now on IR; Do you want to get another QB for the 3rd slot>

A: Doctors feel like Ramsey should go ahead and have the surgery maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. There is talk about bringing a 3rd QB for the practice squad, but Hasselback and Hamded are who we are going with for right now.

Q: Will Ramsey be the starter when he recovers

A: Patrick is the starter, Tim is here to help out

Q: Will there be open competition during the off-season at the QB position

A: No, I didn’t say that, Patrick is our starter. You would hope to have healthy competition at every position, but baring the unforeseen, Patrick is our guy.

Sourrier dismissed T Owens coming to to the skins and laughed that though danny does go after alot of free agentss he doesnt go after all of them refuses to speculate on Sapp.

Talks about drafting the right players

A guy named clarence begged for more blitzes and to attack Q Carter which spurrier agrees with and apparently isnt a fan of zones

Caller talked about our goalline woes and spurrier joked that maybe we should throw to D Mac three ties from the 5 yd line

Caller asked if he will be around or hit UNC which s double said yes he plans to be around

S Double refused wisely to answer a question of what areas do we plan to upgrade

caller: Tim seems to be quicker and sure of what he's doing. How much of that is due to injury ect? S.S. going with quicker passes. 3step and 5 step. Not really any 7 step drops. Patricks foot really bothering him. Go ahead with surgery and get ittaken care of.

Caller: Missed getting TO. Any chance next season? S.S. Can't believe everything you hear. Never went for TO and no receivers to be signed this next season. Won't comment on DT fa's or others.

Caller: What's the problem with the goalline package. S.S. Yeah. We've had some problems recently. Going to get with short yardage coaches and maybe spread things out a little. Get on the 5 and run with pass it in there.

Plans for running backs next year. Can't answer that right now. Still playing games. offseason will always look to upgrade. Not planning on going anywhere next year. Redskins fans best. Love their team. Try to get win next week against the Cowboys. that would make for a fun afternoon.

Was going to be a Pt. 2... but here is the whole damn thing !

Q: How did you feel about Bruce talking on the cell phone with 3 minutes left in the game.

A: I did not see it, but I heard about it later. It was a special moment, but I was more worried about winning the game. It was nice to get it over with, and we are all happy for him.

Q: Will you now begin to play some of the other DEs more

A: We do that now, and we plan to continue that

Q: Durring your meetings, do cell phones and pagers go off.

A: No, we ask them to turn the off; we did have one go off in our last meeting but it was Tony Spanoza’s – who is our security guy.

Q: Do you plan to play some of the players that you haven’t had a chance to look at.

A: We are going to keep playing our best players. We tried to get Jacobs some throws, but he may have to wait until next year to get his chance to shine.

He then gave a shout-out to Bernard Holsey

Q: What do you plan to do about all the injuries to your running backs.

A: John Simon is back, so he’ll probably get a lot of runs; Trung was on the field today limping pretty badly, so he probably won’t play.

Q: Would you consider losing one WR slot for another RB.

A: Probably now, but it’s a possibility.

Q: What about Chad Morten – wasn’t he ill before the game?

A: Chad is one of our best competitors; he did a great job with the ball yesterday

Q: How much will cold weather change your style of play.

A: Depends on the game situation; we would like to run and pass as evenly as possible if we can.

Phone Calls –

Clarence: Can we please treat the final 3 QBs the same way you treated Palmer yesterday?

A: I agree with you, we need to send Lavar more and open up the blitz packages – the best pass coverage is a pass rush.

Mike: Tim H. seems a lot quicker and more mobile than Ramsey; is that because of his foot?

A: Not sure why… we have called quicker pass plays for him 3-5 step drops; but I am not sure if his foot is the reason.

Tony: Is there any thought about trying to get TO from San Fran. in the off-season?

A: Believe it or not, Mr. Snyder does not go after every FA; I don’t see us going after another receiver in the off-season; we are pretty satisfied with who we have.

Czaben: Are you interested in Sapp?

A: I don’t know if I can really comment on that; we haven’t made a decision on who or what we are going to go after for next year.

Ben: The goal line package does not seem to be improving; what is the problem?

A: You are right, we have been stymied lately; maybe we need to spread it out a little more. Who knows, maybe we need to throw it to D-Mac 3-4 times.

Mayo: What are your greatest needs for the off-season?

A: SS said he has every intention of returning next year, but did not want to address needs at this time.

They will be wearing the white jerseys this week and the Cowgirls will be in dark blue – said that they haven’t been very successful in their dark blue uniforms.
