To win we must see change.

Last week was our best week up front with the defensive line. The guys up front actually did generate some pretty good pressure. That's what Edwards needs to see on a regular basis for the defense he is running to be successful. I doubt you'll see that on a regular basis. Therefore, in order for this team to win now, or anytime in the near future, we need to attack the game differently defensively as well as offensively.

We have to approach games like we did early against the Seahawks. We have to take chances and force the offense to make plays when they aren't ready to. We'll make mistakes, but, so what, we're making them now. Maybe we'll actually get a sack and cause a fumble here and there to make up for it. We have to play aggressively.

Offensively we have to see Spurrier and the design of this offense stop being so second guessing. We have to be willing to take a hit on the QB to make a play down field. We have to stop trying to make the perfect play and just starting making some plays. String them together and get something going. For the most part we've seen the defenses very in tune with what Spurrier or Jackson are doing.

We need to recognize that and start running this offense with the tempo Spurrier needs for success. He has to get it into Hasselbeck's or Ramsey's head that the key is not making the perfect throw. It's making the throw on time. Five steps, throw. Get the ball out. Keep the ball offense moving. Do this until we hit a groove and then you can start doing some different things.

We have seen more deep tosses in the last couple of weeks and we need to keep stretching the field even if we aren't having success. But more, we need to just run the offense like it's not the most painstaking effort in the world. Line up, change plays or don't change plays, but when you drop back, MAKE the throws.

Ramsey is going to start. So, get him to pull the trigger on time. Combine that with aggressive defense and we'll see something of a turnaround.
