TK
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A4649-2003Nov21.html Gardener: Shanahan Set Him Up Saturday, November 22, 2003; Page D12 Broncos DT Daryl Gardener lashed out at Coach Mike Shanahan yesterday, a day after being suspended for Sunday's game against Chicago for conduct detrimental to the team. Gardener said he doesn't believe Shanahan wants him on the team and called the coach "that little man up there" on a Denver radio station. Gardener said he believes he was "set up" to overreact to an edited tape shown to players this week that depicted Gardener failing to hustle on several plays. "Right now, I have to believe it was a sabotage for me to react, in order for them to suspend me for the year, or for conduct detrimental to the team," he said. Shanahan said the suspension was an internal issue. • HOME SEARCHED: Police found a steak knife stuck in a kitchen cabinet and marijuana while searching the home of Browns RB William Green, whose fiancee has been accused of stabbing him in the back. Green, who was suspended by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse program, was hospitalized Wednesday after being cut in his home. Westlake (Ohio) police Capt. Guy Turner said the seized marijuana was less than 100 grams, and there was a possibility charges could be brought against Green or his fiancee, Asia Gray, for the drugs. • INJURY REPORT: Colts WR Marvin Harrison participated in his first full practice since he injured his leg on Nov. 9 and could return for Sunday's game at Buffalo. . . . Patriots WR Deion Branch was added to the injury report with a leg injury. He is listed as questionable. • SHORT STAY: RB Adrian Murrell was let go by the Cowboys, less than a month after he signed with team. -- From News Services

bulldog
sorry, Daryl, the NFL unlike the NBA is a 53 man sport per team and the Broncos or any other team CAN win a Super Bowl without you in fact no team has won a Super Bowl WITH you  isn't the fact this is the third team in three years show that there is something about Gardener that just rubs people the wrong way? Prosperity
who cares, we want Daryl to come back to us, he was our best defensive player while he was here and we still need his skills. Now hopefully Denver wil cut him and will be able to get him for cheap.
bulldog
think Parcells or Vermeil would take this guy back? get real. Gardener is a cancer, he toned things down in DC for one year to get in position to garner a new contract and now he is back to his old tricks.
