ESPN: The gold mine that is Arena Bowl X: Gruden vs. Warner, 20 years later

I came across this on ESPN and figured everyone would enjoy seeing this.  It has highlights of Jay Gruden vs Kurt Warner in an epic battle in 1996.  In the article it has Warner and Gruden talking about the game and each other.  Todd Christensen (had no idea/forgotten he died in 2013) and Herbie are on the call and Golic doing sideline reporting.  Very cool stuff.

Long gone but never forgotten, Friday is the 20th anniversary of perhaps the best non-NFL game in American football history. Arena Bowl X pitted a pair of quarterbacks who would move on to bigger things, trading scores throughout the night in a tiny auditorium filled with 11,411 fans dressed as farm animals in Des Moines, Iowa.

What was it like to play Arena League football, and that game in particular? (They're now known as Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden and future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner, but you've probably made the connection already.)

On this particular day, Gruden's Storm held off Warner's Barnstormers with a late goal-line stand to win 42-38.

Wow. Thanks for sharing that. Gruden was effective but did anyone else wonder what that guy was doing in a football uniform? He just looked out of place (aside from the TD passes).
