We are certainly an interesting team.

On so many levels we are atrocious. The level of preparation, or lack thereof, is sometimes stunning to watch. The ability to have penalties called that YOU NEVER see called on anyone else remains perplexing. And yet, you still get a glimpse of what MIGHT happen if Ramsey isn't in a panic all game.

At 17-17 all you can say is it could be much worse. And yet, it might be possible to be MUCH better. Sadly it's hard to tell if the defense is catching on given how the field position has played out but that could be a huge problem. Unfortunately you finally saw Edwards take a chance on the first drive, with early blitzes. And if only Champ wasn't so utterly without clue when the ball is in the air, that change might have mattered. Now Edwards is afraid to continue it and that's too bad because that is PRECISELY the defense we should be playing.

If Champ actually ever found himself capable of making a play on an easy throw, it might be something to behold. As it is, we look unprepared again. They are exposing us a great deal. And while our offense is starting to show small glimpses, our successful plays aren't because they are out of position but because we are making stick throws.

This has the capacity to turn into an ugly game against us, but, for the first time in a while you end the half thinking it MIGHT be turning around some. Let's us pray.

Robinson made a great adjustment on that ball .. I don't think it was a terrible play by champ. I agree we need to play more defense like that, but can you blame Edwards for being hesitant after that play, and the one last week with Arrington pressuring Carter?

well... in order to make those type of defensive plays.... a blitz that results in a poorly thrown ball that results in a turnover and hopefully a turnover returned for a score..... we have to have secondary defenders who know where they are and have their head in the game. Champ seems unfocused part of the time.... and the plays an average CB should make Champ allows the receiver to dictate and make the play.
